MegaTen series

For those uninitiated few... MegaTen is the Japanese shortening of the series Shin Megami Tensei (Japanese love to shorten things don't they?)

It is by far my favorite RPG series to date, and trumps even the almighty Final Fantasy...

I think what really does it for me is the fact that Atlus seems to be the only developer who tries to make a good story and refuses to hold your hand throughout a game. So by the end you are crying because the game was so hard, but you feel accomplished. I really like that...

Granted they are not without their shortcomings, but really I have yet to play a bad Atlus game, but have played tons of horrible Square Enix games.

Let us all discuss this strangely addictive and hard series of games...

(for reference I have played most of them except the Persona Series (been meaning to get around to it) the second Devil Summoner, and the Digital Devil Saga games)
