Re: Anime Recommendation Thread
Is Ao no Exorcist a good Supernatural series? I just saw some clips in the YT video pasted in my anime song recommendation thread.
The recent Supernatural anime series I liked are Ghost Hunt and Psychic Detective Yakumo.

Re: Anime Recommendation Thread
Ao no Exorcist had a pretty good start, but then diverged into anime original. It's still decent, but I say read the manga after marathoning the anime.

Or becoming a freak like me just with the first episodeAkonyl wrote:Geass is more of an anime with mechs than it is an actual mecha anime. If you don't like the first episode, you could try a few more episodes but if you haven't started liking it at that point it's probably just not your thing.ranger wrote: is Code Geass recommendable for someone who doesn't really like mechas too much, i mean I don't really care for it. But I hear this series is really good, and somewhat similar to Death Note in style?

Yeah, it is really good. Though out of Death Note and Bakuman (both by the same writer and illustrator), Death Note is the best for me for sure.leokiko wrote:It is, VERY GOOD. Read it/Watch it.ranger wrote: I hear Bakuman is supposed to be pretty good, opinions?

Re: Anime Recommendation Thread
What I liked about Bakuman is, its "informative" aspect. I've learned (to some extent) knowledge about manga/anime creation from Bakuman more than what I learned from other sources combined. They pretty much nailed it in that aspect.
I've been reading some Bakuman reference whenever I read threads relating to Shounen Jump Rankings or whatever so I guess it's not only me that found it handy.
However, I couldn't bring myself to believe that the same writer (Death Note) actually had a "cheesy" side.

Awesome. That'll be my next show to watch when I get some time
(I actually just recently downloaded like all of Haruhi, so I might actually rewatch some of that in chronological order)

Yay for Haruhi, it was so good watching it in chronological order. I still need to watch Disappearance though.

I know!! But there's just been so little time with me being the first year in college and living in New York City where there's so much fun stuff to do that doesn't involved partying or drinking.ranger wrote:yeah seriously, I'd feel gyped if I didn't watch disappearance after season 2PokerFace312 wrote:WATCH EEET!arielrachel0527 wrote:@CoolKid3: Agreed.ranger wrote: Awesome. Baka To Test is a pretty funny anime, nothing deep, I'm not even sure what's the main plot line is
but it's fun if you just wanna watch something like and relaxing for the mind XD

yeah, I liked the start of AoEx, but at this point I'm pretty much watching it because I don't tend to drop a series once I've started.Soreiyu wrote: Ao no Exorcist had a pretty good start, but then diverged into anime original. I was thinking of watching Season 2 of Haruhi, but if I did I'd force myself to watch Endless Eight, and from what I hear about that it's worse than death itself.
