LOL that is the most embarrassing game ever developed, its a compete layton rip off.
this doesn't work when the developers basically admit that

or when the gameplay is apparently nothing like Layton
Just because they admit it doesnt mean its no longer a copy,  professor layton was something new, why cant they take some time to think of something  even newer.
Here's what Gameinformer says about this Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights:
Doctor Jean-Pierre Lautrec may remind gamers of a certain puzzle-solving professor, but isometric, third-person exploration, and Pokemon Style battles help set him apart. The impressive animation makes the cutscenes shin, but the challenge and uniqueness of the puzzles will make or break the good doctor.

I read the ONM review of the game. I thought Layton ripoff at first, but the gameplay style is entirely different. It's not done in a point-and-click style like Layton, more like an RPG, and the character of Lautrec is very different to Layton, in personality if not in looks. It looks interesting, and I'd like to try it, but, y'know, no money....

Nintendo is preparing "an extremely big title" for the 3DS (and we have no idea what it is)
Based on this ( http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/0 ... ouncement/ ) report, it’s almost certain that Nintendo will be holding an event on September 13th. And this may not be completely related, but apparently Nintendo is preparing an “extremely big titleâ€

My guesses would be something like Pokemon or Fire Emblem.

My reason for these is because almost everybody know what they are.

But then again, maybe not.

I mean, a 3D Fire Emblem would be kinda cool.

Oh, maybe the LoZ: Majora's Mask people have been waiting for. Honestly, I hate Majora's Mask. And if all this hush talk is about it, I will hate Nintendo.

Just thinking.

Well there's already a Rumor going around about Fire Emblem coming to the 3DS. We'll have to see as time goes by.

And for Majora's Mask there is currently a Operation Moonfall on the internet to persuade Nintendo to make a remake of Majora's Mask. Fan are currently working on getting that one to the 3DS. :3

Pretty sure Nights is a Sega property.

I could see this being the case.  We haven't had a new Fire Emblem game since Radiant Dawn, which was over 4 years ago.  Since then, they've just churned out remakes on the DS.  I don't see a new Pokemon, at least not a normal one.  Maybe something like Mystery Dungeon, but not a core title.

I've seen a lot of people on other forums mention a possible Metroid, since really that's one of the few unique properties left that they have that isn't already on the 3DS.

Internet petitions and movements don't mean shit to Nintendo.

I believe Sega has been way to absorbed into Kaitou Kid Month... Look at the description of this new game coming out for the 3DS in Japan:

The story of Rhythm Phantom Thief R: Inheritance of the Emperor Napoleon, a rhythm adventure game from SEGA involves 18-year old Ralph who steals items as Phantom Thief R and returns them three days later. Ralph’s latest target is an artifact with a symbol that may help him find his father. The game is due out in Japan this winter and there are screenshots after the break.

I could see it being a new Fire Emblem game, though probably not a Pokemon one.
