I skipped about 60 pages of posts so I'm not sure if this was already mentioned, but in the newer episodes, OVAs and Movies they seem to be hinting towards a Ai (Shiho Miyano) and Dr. Agasa relationship. Ai's been forcing Agasa on a diet for a long time, and at one point(sorry I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of episode/OVA/Movie numbers)  where they're at some banquette/party another character says it's like she's his wife in response to Agasa telling them Ai won't let him eat meat. Even in the 13th movie when Agasa lets it slip he's been eating fried chicken, Ai gave him a dirty look and he gets frightened.

She just worries about him because he's the only family she has right now. He took her in when she had nowhere to go to, so I think it's pretty normal that she worries about him.. as a father/grand-father. I don't think they want to hint to a love relashionship between them.. And besided, that would be just gross because of the age difference! -_-

I guess the age difference doesn't bother me as much since my parents have a 14 and a half year difference. Also my comment is assuming that at some point Ai and Conan return to they're original selves.

i agree...i know that age doesn't matter in love(my parents have 10 years difference),but still .....she considers  him as the father she never had,so she take care of him(like Ran takes care of Kogoro)...he sure have a huge place in haibara's life,and i find their relationship very cute,but that's all...

I still don´t get it when people say Ai is too old for Conan since i know happy familys where the age difference is about 15 years between the parents. But i don´t think we have to fear this *special* pairing, Agasa is still dreaming of his Fusae (that was her name right?) and Ai is (probably) in *silent* love with Conan, so hey- who wants a cookie?^^
