lol I'll go along with that.  Dragon Ball Kai is closer to Dragon Ball Z's manga now.  The Saiya-jin saga just finished up recently.  Seventeen episodes for the Saiya-jin Saga.  Originally, it was 30+ episodes.
Agree on all accounts about sailormoon.  WTF is with the super annoying rose throwing thing?!  Poor Mamoru xD.  I didn't watch all of sailormoon, the fact is it's so hard to get all the episodes for all the seasons.
Well, the beginning of Stars made sense, as it was pretty much a conclusion to SuperS...it just got changed a bit as it went on from what I remember.
I didn't even touch Pretear anime, glad I didn't.
*Cracks knuckles*  Here's everything that I can think of right off that I had a problem with...
Spoiler:
Mawata was completely emo!!  I hate the fact that her character was made to be an emo brat!  Manga wise she was way better.  In my opinion, she had no real reason to be “emoâ€

It probably depends on the series.  If the manga is long, then the anime will drag on.

Yes. Unless they are actually smart enough to not show a new episode every week, every  single year, either they end up having one chapter per episode (OH GOD ENIES LOBBY) or have lots of filler.

i would say i'm very disappointed in tsubasa reservoir chronicle. the anime starts off nicely in the first season, but as it drags on to second season, everything just seems to be so weird. not only the plot is way off, the ending is well, suck. i'll be not surprised if the production announced that there is no third season. well, it's better off that way.

I refuse to even watch Tsubasa. The artwork... oh my goodness, don't even get me started... CLAMP is/are my favorite mangaka because I absolutely love their artwork, and the show butchered it.

Another series I couldn't get past the first two episodes: DN Angel. Again, the art. And the American voices!! I love Vic, but seriously, as Dark? No.

I like the tsubasa anime yes it does go slower but it also address more things and more things come full circle. also the tsubasa anime is not finished yet so you have no reason to complain about it. also if you are going to complain about DN angel (which I think you should since it is the most unoriginal show I have ever seen after 6 episodes) then complain about the main charcters voice. that is the first boy voice that I have ever HATED, he sounds HORRIFIC, when he goes OH NO. I loss my lunch it is that bad. I do not see how half the anime club likes it at all

GinRei wrote: Seems like it.  The one that annoys me the most is Spiral, since it was an amazing series, but the primary question from the first episode, "What are the Blade Children", never gets answered.  They stop at like volume 11 or something out of 15.  So annoying.
I haven't read the manga but the anime version of Spiral gave a hanging ending...

BTT: Probably the big 3 due to the never ending fillers. There are only few good filler episodes. I've skipped the whole Capt. Amagai Arc of Bleach but I'm planning to watch the whole Zanpakutou Arc once it's completed. As for One Piece, I also hate the fillers in Enies Lobby. It was actually my favorite part in OP. I hate also the filler episodes in Naruto(original) but it's so surprising the I've actually watched substantially all of the episodes of Sasuke Shippuuden,(correction Naruto Shippuuden).

I'm amazed Fruits Basket hasn't been mentioned yet, unless it's been mercifully repressed in most people's conciousnesses. The characters' personalities were changed, several important plot elements and characters removed and the most important plot element of all- The Truth About Akito- completely ignored and replaced with some hashed-up crap. I can only thank heaven they aborted this monstrosity so quickly. They could never have recovered the actual storyline after the what they'd done anyway.

InuYasha didn't come happily out of anime either. They keep changing around plot elements and removing scenes, including a large number featuring SesshoMaru and Kagura which kills me because I LOVE THEM. What always drives me nuts about anime is where they remove important arcs or scenes and replace them with anime-onlys, which are never as good as manga originals (although the DC anime doesn't actually do so badly out of them recently). Anime artwork is never as good as manga artwork either. Kagura's death was pretty, but it was infinitely more beautiful in the manga.

Yuu Yuu Hakusho was an abomination. The artwork was horrendous, I don't know what the hell was happening to their hair colours, and don't get me started on the english voices. Of any anime. I really hate anime english voices. Why is it that, aside from Studio Ghibli movies, no anime can get voice actors that don't sound like CeeBeeBies rejects?  >:(

I agree with what you said about Fruits Basket storyline and characterisation wise.  Still I can't help but be nicer to it since it did some episodes so nicely.

They couldn't have known a lot of things because the mangaka didn't get there in the manga yet xD.  As you know mangaka usually have no hand in the anime (unless it's a cease order or something lol).
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

The anime only covered up to about volume five.  The manga started in 1999 and ended in 2006 (24 volumes).  The anime came out in 2001.  It wasn't that far along yet.

That person?

Well, specifically, Studio Ghibli movies aside, I haven't yet watched an anime where I like the english voices. There may be ones that did it right out there. I just havent' watched them.

FMA, One Piece, School Rumble

if you don't like the voice acting for any of those, there's really no hope for you  :(
