I'm hoping that sales figures for games are easy to acquire rather quickly, so if Abyss and Graces do well someone can start a campaign quickly for Xillia.  If we're lucky, we might be able to get it within 2 years of the Japanese release!  Maybe before the next game after Xillia comes out?

I don't play many JRPGs, but that's because I can barely afford to keep up with Pokemon and Professor Layton, with an option on Mario Kart. I'd buy them if I weren't a penniless drama student.

Personally, I wouldn't have much problem with it since it's standard NoA crap.  However, they announced Xenoblade at E3 2008.  You don't go announcing a game and then not releasing it.  That's a dick move that's going to cost them, at the very least, any chance of me buying the Wii U.  Well, that and how bad the Wii's been in general.  Just don't trust them with consoles anymore.

A North American release for Xenoblade has been up in the air for years, because apparently Nintendo of America is so swamped in new Wii releases, it just couldn't fit the thing on the docket. Even a European version has been confirmed, but nobody wants to talk about America.

That is, until voice actor Peter Dickson. His website lists him as the actor for Emperor Sorean, and claims that Xenoblade is set for a fall release in both Europe and the United States. With Nintendo of America clamping up on any localized releases lately, this is the best confirmation we've gotten so far.

and looking at a few of the other games online, at least the Fortune Street data matches up with the NA release date instead of the EU release date. So iunno what this is all about but who knows? :I

edit: And apparently nintendo posted some confirmation pics on its facebook page or something, but I'm at work now so I can't exactly look at it.

Kind of.  Expect the Japanese voices ripped out, and a new, non-british dub applied.  Why else would it take 8 months after the European release to release it here?
