Mafia Round 27: Dead Men Tell No Tales (BO Wins)

But what I noticed and some advice(?):
Everyone already knows that miiko and mystery are allying fast So don't wonder when one of you both will die fast
Because the BO will try to kill of a alliance. Or, in case one is BO, kill the other one so she doesn't find out the other one is BO XD

The problem was, you didn't tell any of your teammates what was going on, so we had no idea when you both died whether you were lovers (and we needed to worry about what else was revealed), or if you poisoned mystery without telling us (and in that case how you knew her role and maybe how you got caught), or if mystery just dropped out. And since it happened after you left your actions with us and were supposedly away from the game, we were even more confused. (I spent the rest of the game thinking there was a Yumi. Though in part that was because the GM post didn't make it clear.)

Have you ever ask why our individual wills always say "if I die, investigate mystery/miiko" even when we are both town? It has always been like that whenever we don't ally together. It's our death guarantee. Works both way, because if the other one isn't BO, town got a proven townie, and if she is, sucks for her :V.

Last game was different, because we wanted to put a little bit of humour into the game. Guess that backfired.

I'd love to play. Honestly, I think mafia is awesome. But I can't play when I have people doubting my competency.

Well, like it was said: Nobody can tell you how you play a game of Mafia. Some people play rather reckless (and thus get themselves lynched or poisoned early), some avoid as much contact with other players as possible (and get rarely poisoned but are on their own for most of the game). So how you play does not matter, as long as you have fun.

Okay - almost. Please remember the rest of your team. Sure, winning or losing isn't everything (you should never cheat just to win for example) but letting the rest of your team down because you "promised to tell your role" to another player puts them in a bad (and unfun) spot. If you and your friend/sibling/relative are on the same team: Great. If not: As a BO you just have to pretend to be town. You can still play together with your friend (and plan the demise of him/her and the rest of the town) without ruining what the game is all about.

Again, I did not send PMs to everyone, nor did I post on the thread going "I'M GIN LYNCH ME." Town found that out themselves. As for mystery, it was a mistake on my part (and on hers) which lead both of us to revealing ourselves. I'd never reveal myself as BO unless it's inevitable. And you should know, except for the earlier games where we did not know anyone and were forced to ally with each other, mystery and I never get into an alliance on the first night. Many minimafia games we have went without even making ANY contact with each other even when we were both town.

So would you people stop accusing me of "intentionally" revealing my role please?

That was my fault. That week was actually a busy week, I only had time to drop in and send any orders that the BO wanted me to do. Town accused me with a sure voice, so I had no defence option. The most I could do is lessen the burder of the BO by APTXing mystery. Yes, I'll admit I was to blame for my irresponsibility and not notifying the BO of what was going on. I knew I should have make certain I inform everyone of my actions, however as stated it was a busy and stressful week. Mistakes were made, and unfortunately I couldn't fix them (which is a shame, considering I usually cover up my tracks pretty well).

It's not that anyone doubts your competency, miiko. Mostly it's your commitment to the game we're questioning. Partly the way Cheesus made it seem and partly the way you apparently didn't let your team know what was going on made it seem like you were intentionally allying with a townie to mess things up or troll or whatever.

Before you flip out, I know, you've already explained your side of it. I'm just telling you how it looked from our side of it. Even as a townie last round, I felt like you had stopped even caring about the game and what happened to your teammates before you were ever killed. Especially after we found out you guys weren't lovers.

It hurts when people assume that I don't TRY. I'm actually quite sensitive.
Doesn't matter if it's xpon or anyone. I HATE IT when people automatically assume something about me that is completely untrue.

OK. *explanation accepted*

And yeah, people expressing mild irritation at something you did last week isn't the same thing as people saying you should go away and never come back. And even xpon's over-reaction post said he only wanted you to quit playing if you were trolling for real, which you just explained you weren't.

And just to add to my previous post about why I listen to xpon: I don't know xpon, or anyone for that matter, well ENOUGH for me to understand why everyone is telling me to ignore xpon. I consider xpon another fellow member of the DCTP community, just like everyone else, and yeah, you may laugh if you want, I do respect him just as much as I respect others. Therefore I take in his comment just as sincerely as I take in others'. So yeah, you may not understand, but it hurts just as much as having someone else other than xpon telling me "you fail at mafia, stop playing."

It wasn't trolling. Did I make it terrible for everyone? No. Did I piss off anyone? No. Were town happy they got me? Yes. So it's not trolling. I only say that because I felt like it.

And what do you mean intentionally getting killed? Did I actually reveal my role to everyone? No. I did not betray ANY of the BO. YOU found me out on your own. Plus I pulled a pofa with mystery. So how is that "intentional"?

from what you were saying it sounded like your intent was to get mystery killed so that she could then vengeance kill you, but if it's really just a result of you pofa'ing your role to her, that's not rally a big deal as you were caught by her either way then, and she was dead as well since she told you her role.

(Though people should be more careful, pofa'ing seems to happen a lot lately )

if you had done it intentionally though, it still would have been trollin imo because you'd intentionally be killing yourself (which I'm sure the BO wouldn't want ). But, as that's apparently not the case, it's fine.

Like pofa said, xpon thought that you did it intentional. Which could have been seen so at first because of your comment about trolling and the fact that you were busy and didn't manage to inform your BO buddies at first.

i am sorry if my previous post sound rude. but no one can stop anyone from joining except the GM of that round. so even if i hate your game play... i wont ask you to quit from this round... it is up to you. but there is a big difference between pulling a pofa and intentionally reveal your role.

Meaning he didn't like it in case you revealed your role intentionally, for fun. Since you didn't, this doesn't apply. Was a misunderstanding, which is cleared up now. So none of you should have a reason to be mad at the other one now imo D: Since it was a misunderstanding, nothing more.
