yeah, that's a fair point too I suppose, I just see it as bein too good if tequila can use it to hide the BO :V
though, I wonder how hard/easy it'd be to identify someone as being hindered rather than the other person/people bein discombobulated.

if it's investigated, then it'll be easier. If half the town is hindered, then... XD
And I totally forgot about a idea I had! XD
Since we now have Volatile APTX too. How about it, if a townie get's injured (or BO with it?), he'll also turn into a child?
This way, with observe you could check the person out if he/she is telling the truth or not. For Yamato, Id's say he'll stay an adult. Because he's not really affected by APTX.
If anokata keeps the "child" form possibility, he'd be the only one that can claim being injured without having to actually take the APTX XD
On the other hand, the BO eating the APTX would be a tactic too then XD

that's mainly the big problem I see with it, it only would work for roles with observe and they would gain "can tell if people have been injured" to lose "can be sure about children they observe", which isn't a good tradeoff imo, especially when people were saying observe/stakeout roles aren't good anyway.Kleene Onigiri wrote: On the other hand, the BO eating the APTX would be a tactic too then XD

The BO doesn't need to hide themselves like that. Or, if it were possible, I'd say that person loses their abilities like they were injured.

also: That wouldn't stop BO from pretending to be injured, because they could still pretend to be injured by vodka's killing action during the night, which wouldn't child-ify you.

Well, let's talk about hinder a bit more...
1) We don't have to leave Vodka the way he is. Just like Tequilla, we could give him the new hinder ability that he could use INSTEAD of his old ability. So either hinder or discombobulate, depending on what the BO thinks they need right now.
2) It would probably be bad to allow the BO to use it at themselves. It somehow has a similar purpose as remove evidence then, since it prevents the investigation of crimes. Even if they can only use it on townies: Another townie won't know for sure that if target was "hindered" or if they were "discombobulated" themselves (at least not before comparing results with other townies).
3) The ability would need to be tested a while to see how good it is and we can decide then if we should allow to pass it on a townie
4) The name is kinda... misleading. "Hinder" suggests you are hindering your target, but what the abilities does is stopping everyone from interacting with it. So it is more "isolating/insulating/shielding" or "screening from" everyone else.
5) Was "confuse" really such a bad ability for Tequilla? Most of the time it is just a worse version of discombobulated then, which would be what we all seemed to have in mind for Tequilla (also because the BO seems to need more abilities that mess with the town actions directly, instead of just making them get wrong results). Confuse might work great against investigations or when the town tries to concentrate on a target, but it also bears the risk that the new target is actually worse than the old one for abilities like interrogate or healing...
About adding a shrinking effect to APTX: Should depend on the GM. It makes sense, flavor-wise, but is yet another mechanic the GM has to track and an easy source for mistakes.

Why would Sato need to be more safe? She is an adult who can investigate, there is a total of 6 of them in the game already (Sato, Akai, Shiratori, Megure, Yumi, Nakamori). Trying to prove herself with detaining random people (and getting away with it if she does to the wrong person) is something I would like to avoid.

let say i keep claiming that i am megure... but then the one i arrest is released.. so they know satou is in the game!
beside if i dont injured.. i am planing on detain and release 1 person each phase... just to guess if i can stop night kill by detaining the Killer or the target!

1) Vodka is more "active" and useful through the whole game. While Tequila is very useful, but just when the situation arises. So when the BO know that someone has a day ability. Or if they need -1 vote. So it was suggested for tequila, because he'd need a "pep up".
2) Like said. If they can't use it on themselves, once someone knows hat someone was hindered (which is possible), he'll know that this person is town for sure.
Another "solution" could be, that you can't use it on the same person in a row. But on N1 and on N3. Or N1 and N4. But not N1 and N2 etc.

Just because you have an ability available for use every phase doesn't mean you should use it every phase. Satou's fine, she doesn't need to be more powerful/safer.
Also Kleene, the Confuse in this mafia is different from the confuse in minimafia, in that you don't choose the new targets for Confuse, just the person you're confusing. So the BO really couldn't use it to find out peoples' abilities by confusing them towards a stake-out target.
