Besides Detective Conan, I've enjoyed Rurouni Kenshin, Death Note, Monster, Hunter x Hunter...really anything with more plot development than action/fighting...any recommendations?

uh,, i know im a damn newbie here.. but i've been a reader of this forum a long long time ago.. i just didn't make an account on time long long ago since i was lazy.. but when i saw this post maybe you could recommend me some anime that the story line goes,.. uhmm.. like:

~detective conan [of course!! no.1 excep FMA since i've already watched it]
~nodame cantabile, la corda d oro or something all about classical music w/ a good and unpredictable love story [if somebody or someone watched those.. it'll be so so awesome]
~special a or kaichou wa maid sama  [some type of high school animes out there that has a very cute love story and involves smart, cool and good-looking guys]
~prince of tennis [a sporty-type of anime w/ no love stories at all.. i would really love those..]
~k-on! [or something that goes well like their story line]

haha.. i know i have a lot to beg out from you., so please help me.. its summer here on philippines so i don't have my classes and i'm just waiting for conan releases and i can't get to watch other anime.. im getting bored.. 

and one last thing., uhm i really hate those somethings that includes seductiveness or uhm.. how do i put this.., uhmm.. ah!.. hentai's. haha.. i just really hate those.. plus my little bro is watching all animes that i watched on net.. he's beside me all the time.. i think you guys don't want to influence my bro badly hahaha..

Have you watched some er, old school anime such as Furuba or Gakuen Alice?  I think those are just your type (Okay old school here means not exactly the newest of the lot)

Maybe you will also like My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute? Hmmm. Try Lucky Star and Melancholy of Haruhi (most of these are finished with the series so you can dl/buy the whole anime series)

There's little side love story in there so I'll recommend other Sports anime series with little side love stories also like
(1) Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit / Knock out), including New Challenger
(2) Eyeshield21 - the closest comparable series to PoT in terms of players and school rivalries
(3) Slam Dunk - the supposed to be love triangle is actually a funny part of the story
(4) Major - if you're more concerned with a solid plot for a sports anime, this is a must watch

So you're from the Philippines. You might have encountered those recommendations on Philippine TV one way or another (GMA7 and Hero)
