DC in other manga/anime
Due to the popularity of DC, DC characters are implied on chapters/episodes of different manga/anime.
Here's an example:

What do you think?
Also, don't forget to post other pics/vids that fit in this thread, if you find some ^_^

in topic, Hayate no Gotoku has a full episode parody of detective conan - episode 30 of the first season, plus there are several times in the anime where you see paintings and statues of a figure that looks like Conan.

Gintama tried to be funny and should have been funny but ultimately failed at being funny. What a surprise!

some people may laugh while some other people may not laugh. People like me laugh easily from things like that. Though things that make other people laugh don't always make me laugh so maybe it's just a matter of taste...?kkslider5552000 wrote: Gintama tried to be funny and should have been funny but ultimately failed at being funny. Conan showed up in an episode of Yakitate Japan. Said that if this was his show, the ratings would be higher.

Gintama detectives shout out episode <3. I love how much freedom Gintama's anime studio has sometimes. They do all these crazy AOs (I wonder why they didn't get sued yet
).

While I never cared for InuYasha, a friend of mine pointed out that Shnichi and Ran were in one scene during a costume festival and Kagome's brother dressed as Conan when trying to confess his crush to a girl. The screencaps are bound to be anywhere on the internet.
Also, there's plenty in Hayate the Combat Butler. Not just the parody episode and statues, but quite a couple of cameos, subtle too. I oughta post screencaps from a very long time ago that I took when I was in a Japanese phase--OH HAY, GUYS, I FOUND THEM. I'm not much into a lot of anime, but I thought these were neat (incoming imagedump):
Here's the aforementioned Conan statue, one of many:

There's also a fictionalized Shonen Sunday called "Shonen Yonde" that's seen in the backgrounds as well as in Nagi's hands reading:

And here's some of the Conan-Sleeping Kogoro parody snapshots:
http://i37.tinypic.com/k2nw1t.png
Also, the culprit was made to look like Kaito Kid:

Here's a cameo of Sonoko:

One of Genta (REALLY Small):

And one of Conan, Ran, and Kogoro (also small):

Here's my favorite one. There's a detective-type character that goes to what looks like a conference of fictional detectives. The guy in white on the far left is Arsene Lupin, next and to the front of him is meant to be Sherlock Holmes, Kosuke Kindaichi is behind Holmes, Hercule Poirot's the chubby, curly-mustachioed man in the center, it looks like Miss Marple's behind him (I think, it looked like an old lady with a hat in the scene), and the short old priest on the right with the red Bible and clerical hat is Father Brown. All of these detective characters have been featured in Gosho's Detective recommendations (volumes #4, #1, #6, #3, #20, and #13, respectively):

And guess who he/she points out:

Well, that's all I've got.

Is that wording deliberately referancing the replacement title they had to use for the English-language release, or is it a coincidence?NotSoFluent wrote:
Regardless, that makes it funnier.

Re: DC in other manga/anime
So I was right after all.
I was watching that episode of Inu Yasha with my brother when I said that DC was in there, but he did not believe me because he was playing some game and did not saw it by his own eyes. I better make him regret for not believing. Lol.
