Actually looking at the graph it seems what gave the other girl the edge was the non-Korean males. I don't know the other girl but if she's one of those "I'm strong..but I'm really weak", it would explain why she was a hit with the males as those characters have always been popular in animes.

So did I but I guess now we know we are in the minority. Assuming it started with 64 characters, finishing in the top 16 wasn't bad. Besides from the looks of it, the characters left now aren't that well written, they are just what's popular now.
@Khinkhun:....Doesn't surprise me. The "I want you to be strong..but just not around me, around me I want you to be a weak needy person" type girl is probably what's popular now in anime. I never liked those types.

what!!!!she lost against that type of girl?!!! i'm disappointed and sad...really,people have weird tastes but oddly i'm not surprised,guys prefer that type of girl "strong but weak at the same time" (not all tha guys hopefully)...
moreover that survey wasn't known by a lot of people in the world(i didn't know that poll existed until i saw it in dctp ),i think DC is more known and popular in the world than any other manga proposed by that survey...
anyway, i happy haibara finished in the top 16,DC is an old anime afterall,and she still popular,so it's good for me..

Really sad, but i´m pretty sure that she´ll get 9th place at least or maybe 8th when they count the votes per chara. Ai sure got a lot of votes AND comments. To bad she´s out now, she would have made it even farther (to the finals!).
