K-on! manga to relaunch

So basically, they're gonna restart the manga to show the stuffs they're doing in college

and also, there's gonna be another manga that shows azusa, ui, and afro girl as they move through high school

I'm actually kinda torn about this, On one hand, I love K-on and I'm not gonna complain too much about more, and on the other hand, miking it as much as they are just can't be good :|

(but more ritsu \o/)

Still progression so good in my book, not like Hayate S2 that is just like "first season didn't happen, going back in time now," so not completely milking.

the problem is, if you want to fully enjoy K-On, you need to have the CD audio too. (not only watch anime)

on CD audio you will get the full songs and stuff!

Hayate season 2 is actually based on the manga. It's the latter half of season 1 that was filler, so if you're going to complain, complain about the right thing. Besides, this article says the manga is relaunching, so if you're going to compare it to Hayate, compare it to the manga, which is progressing.

but parkur, you remember when they are recording their song in cassette right?
that CD 2 is that cassette

and as far as i know, there are extra line they spoke after each song. that lines wont appear in other CD / anime right?

I've heard of this news for quite some time now. Just hope that it doesn't ruin the whole thing.

Not complaining, S2 was awesome. Just was a weird move the studio did (milking the original then relaunching prior to the filler).

How Naruto did it made more sense in my mind: Follow manga, kill anime with hundreds of filler eps, pick up with Manga in Shippuden. No regression.

And if manga is restarting, sure bet the anime will follow within a few years, so not completely tangential.

It's not even the same studio. Season 1 was done by Synergy SP, and season 2 was done by JC Staff. The movie's being done by Manglobe, and they're also likely to be the ones to do season 3.
