they cancelled it because only anime is ever good after season 5
What makes it even worse is that it got canceled so they could produce Ben 10 (and eventually Alien Force)...
the fact that it is horrible has nothing to do with ratings
The LOW ratings is the RESULT of it being HORRIBLE (which is how it usually is... with tv shows isn't it?)

bottomline is that all the channels / tv networks that I liked as a kid has gone straight to hell. Nick, Cartoon network, disney...

the new generation of kids for some reason are into a lot of superficial stuff, which is really lame.  It's like seeing new freshmen every year in highschool.  the new incoming class always seems to be worse than the year before.  Every year, the new freshmen are more skanky, almost all of them are skaters, sag their pants until basically their ass shows, wear gold chains around their necks...

Thus, because of new generations degrading their ethical values, a lot of the television networks reflect upon this, with their shows slowly degrading.  A lot of the classic shows that I enjoyed have been replaced with bullcrap superficial cartoons or live actions about the "drama of a teenager living in high school".

This is just what I have noticed, and I cannot say the same for other countries other than the US (because I have lived most of my adolescent years here).

tell me your feedback on this, because I generally think this is why a lot of the cartoon shows/ tv networks have become crap.

it has high ratings. Or at least high for CN standards.

I'll give you bonus points just for avoiding the usual Naruto dub whining.

You took the words right out of my mouth, and you said it better then I would have.
I agree with you 100% American T.V for children is just plain shameful, it's like they think kids are all idiots.
(And they kinda are nowadays.) It's really degrading, that's for sure.
I really wish nick would make a classic nick channel with all the old anime and cartoons from the 80s and early 90s. Now that was good television.
Also, what did they do to my precious Toon Disney!? It’s gone, and now I can’t watch Chip n’ Dale, Duck Tale’s, or any other good kid show. D:
Cartoon Network can go kiss a toilet seat.

Really who still watches this show? It really died after the 100 fuller episodes and never even got around to showing Kakashi Gaiden till this fall. The plot line has now changed to two teens who are in love with each other and are trying to find the other, and just when we get hit with a huge curve ball like Kakashi dying, Kishimoto gose and pulls a J.K. Rowling and brings not only him but everyone back! Why stop there! Go ahead and bring Naruto's parents back too! and end all chances of other character's developing! So yes this anime has gone downhill a bit, and with this move the people who hate stuff like disney will stop watching, while the young children who should be watching the good stuff like Tiny toons and Loony Tunes and other cartoons like that, you know the stuff that was ment to bring up kids? Who cares what happens to this anime in America? it's like the damn Dragonball movie. If you don't like it wait for it to come out on dvd, or better yet go to the soure and watch it online with subtitles, don't like reading them? cry me a river, you actually have to use your brain while watching tv.
I actually like Naruto, it is decent. I just don't like having to wait for new episodes, so I try not to watch it.

I meant I am used to Narutards pretending that the dub was 4kids bad and whining about the Believe It catchphrase that was abandoned anyway after season 1.

glad to see people agree with me, I was a bit worried when I posted that because for a few posts no one replied D: everyone must of thought i was a psychopath  ::) (...teehee)

What?  I thought Toon Disney still existed!  But, yeah a lot of channels now have their own like "retro channel", I think cartoon network's is boomerang (but thats a bit TOO old for me, like...that one show with the dog that knows karate, and some older classics).  I think there's something called Disney XD or something?  I have no idea really lol I've basically given up on American cartoons/animation.  The only thing worth looking forward to in American animated (or 3d or w/e) series/movies is Pixar really, lol.

Nah, you weren't talking like a psychopath, you were talking like a concerned American citizen.  ;)
Boomerang is okay, my parents love it, that's for sure. (And a dog that knows karate...? Never heard of it.)
As far as Disney XD goes, the only thing my family watches on it is some older super hero cartoons from the 90s, and maybe some phineas and ferb.  ::)
American animation has really suffered, it's like people forgot how to draw or something. I miss how some clean adult humor would find it's way into children's shows, it wasn't dummied(sp?) down and it really made you think.
CN has been spewing out idiotic cartoons for years, so has nickelodeon. (A few of them had some potential and then they end up being full of super gross crude humor.)

Oh I love Pixar movies! I look forward to them every year. (It's Kind of like having two Christmases... for me anyway. lol.)

The last new series I enjoyed was Spongebob, back when I was in middle school, but I think that series got cancelled/ended.  i think the only respectable cartoon show in America now...is South Park?  It cant even really be considered a legit cartoon show, because it's really aimed for adults and just satires everything.
