Looking for a series with interaction of different cultures / race with outside of Japan setting

E.g. Kuroshitsuji - English x Indian x Chinese (All over Europe) ;
      Monster - German x Japanese (Germany)
If you think you are cooler than me then prove it, B*TCH!

Perhaps Baccano! if you haven't already seen it? It's really good and I don't think there's a single Japanese character. It takes place in New York during the early 1930's and there are a lot of different cultures strune in. One thing though, WATCH THE DUB!!!!

I have heard a ton of praise for the series lately...maybe if I ever get through a lot of other anime I might watch it despite not caring that much for the genre because of it's seemingly high quality (like Kimi ni Todoke)

well it depends on how dark you want your anime

because Black Butler, I mean, it's black. But Darker than Black, like, goes even further. That's pretty crazy levels of dark.

If Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) ended in Season1, it's a definite recommendation. I didn't really like the 2nd season at all. Heck, Ciel in Wonderland OVA is even more enjoyable to watch. Nevertheless, Season1 is still a good watch.

I have no basis for Darker than Black.

It took me a while to finish Baccano, Durarara and Shiki due to a busy schedule. Only Rainbow is remaining on my watchlist (ofcourse DC and OP are always there for the on-going series). I am to complete my download for Bakuman and still having a hard time completing One Outs.

In a few weeks my slack season is about to start so I need more to watch. I would prefer a completed Dark/Mystery/Psychological from 2009-2010.

Will probably start watching Hetalia soon as I'm only watching 4 anime right now (one of which is Conan, which is delayed until further notice).

I'm looking for something similiar to Rurouni Kenshin / Samurai X.
It doesn't have to be an anime about Samurai or Ninja. But I really liked the mood of Samurai X.
Kinda dark and maybe no happy ending (considering the main character).
Does anybody know something like that?

It's not always easy to see the good in people. In some people, you might even doubt that it's there at all. But if you can somehow, find a way to believe...sometimes that's all it takes to help someone, to give them the strength to find the good in themselves.

Oh my god, I so jealous of you! I currently have over a dozen on mine since I'm horrible at getting around to finishing a series...

I only have a few and it also helps that I was trained at work to have sleepless nights. If I were still a student or may be still preparing for my Licensure exam, I could have watched a lot more!
