while you may be an optometrist, that doesn't mean that you took every course regarding the subject. :P

Heck, I don't even know if the courses you'd take would cover things like optical illusions :V
XD We covered everything in Vision Science. Including why we see the illusions we do.
fair enough, just wasn't sure illusions were covered in that depth. Had I started saying "here's an interesting page that explains why glasses work" though, I would get your point of how obvious that was a bit more. :P

XD Fair enough. But for future reference, probably safer to assume they taught us all we need to know about how the eyes work (including what happens in the brain)

@Crap: It was pretty fun. Got to look at heaps of illusions that semester. :)

Will do :V

I guess my views on this may be a bit skewed as a compsci major, as you'll never get to take all the upper courses before you graduate, so you have to choose what's most relevant to you and what to skip out on. :P

:-\ Our course is really rigid. We basically only have 1 elective throughout and it was a forced choice between Psych and more Biology (something about plants and reproduction :|). Really glad I chose Psych. That was much more interesting. If only there wasn't a Stats component...

That sucks D:

Though, I guess it's to be expected of something as specific as optometry, at least compared to something as broad as CS.

Though I'd hope if you took it to the Master's/Doctorate level there would be some more possible variety/specialization, but I could be wrong on that.

As for stats: I had to take a Stats class for CS, definitely the most boring class I've had. 3 hours of stat starting at 6pm every Wednesday = awwww yyyeaaaaaa-no. D:

Goin' to sleep now though, so fareweeeelllllll

I think you mostly specialize for Master's/PhD but I never really looked into that career path. Way too lazy to read and write journal articles for a living...

3 hours is eviiiilllll (and at 6pm! :o)...We only had 1-2 hours a week. \o/

Good night!

@Parkur: Nice try. I'm fairly sure you're in senior year of High School. :P
