I still don't see why Haibara should be there while Ran aren't. The same with Kaitou KID and Shinichi.

Re: Characters That Gets On Your Nerves!
So, because Ai has more fans, she can't be put into the poll? Are you discriminating the ones that find her annoying?AICHAN wrote: seems like I'm late for thefight discussion
First of all:That's a weird choice, considering that Ai has much more fans than Ran XDDDDranger wrote: why is Ai even on this list, and if she is, how come Ran isn't?
Really, there must be ALL the caracters of DC,not only those on that list...believe me,many of the"nice" characters are annoying...
Secondly,I don't know why many people are shocked by Haibara's suicide attempt, and are calling her "emo". Emo means emotionnal, most of the girls in DC are "emo"in that case XDDD
anyway, Ai was suicidal in the past, that's also what made her very realistic...
Btw,she only tried to suicide once,in the bus,it's not as if she wanted absolutely to kill herself (or else she wouldn't have the courage to flee from the BO...)
seriously,everybody already thought about suicide,at least once. I'm not saying it's a good thing,but it's a human characteristic.
in the case of Ai,it was understandable...(after making an horrible drug, loosing all her family, having an organization who wants to kill her)...I've seen many suicides for less valid reasons than that...
anyway,I think it's less annoying than seeing girls crying for stupid reasons...now when I read DC I feel like I'm reading a shojo manga...

It's not the question whether ai's suicidal behaviour is "shocking" or not. It's annoying.
Because she wants to suicide in order to not involve the others around here with the BO and get them killed. Of course she also want's to suicide in order to get free from the BO and her sad past etc.
But when she wanted to suicide, she also thought something like "it's better when I'm gone" or something.
That's what I find most annoying. Because she knows that conan, Ran and the others, like Ayumi and co. would save her no matter what. So, with her "suicidal behavior" or more like, her giving up, she's endangers her friends, tho she actually tried to save them with that act. Especially conan.
And I also count the behavior in 345 as suicidal. She was shut away in that room, so she doesn't encounter the BO. But she still goes there... unprepared. What did she want to do? "Save conan"? How? Especially, since Vermouth was there. Seems she was able to negotiate with vermouth, so that she won't hurt conan.
But haibara shouldn't have known that just vermouth and calvados would be there. Gin and Vodka could have been there too. And I doubt Gin would have agreed to let conan alive

So, imo, that act was also suicidal. Tho not as much as the bus bombing case.
Well, you also said that this was an emotion. It certainly is. But so is the sadness of not seeing your loved one. But seems "everyone" is annoyed with Ran crying around

You also said "I think it's less annoying".... what's wrong when I don't think the same?

I also think some people have a hard time to understand that not everyone on this world is totally in love with Haibara

And they also can't understand or don't want to understand, that not everyone thinks that Ran is super annoying :x
I'm neutral towards Haibara. I like when she appears. But I also like it when other characters appear. She's not my favorite character, since I have other characters that I like more than her.
I can't understand why Gin was put into that poll!!! >.

Basically, there should be all characters in the poll :V But that would be a big poll then D:bluekaitou1412 wrote: I still don't see why Haibara should be there while Ran aren't. The same with Kaitou KID and Shinichi.![]()
But I think, if Ran and Haibara are in the poll, then.... the topic could get closed pretty fast

So to be "fair", every character should be put there. But that will lead to complains anyway. Even if you leave out Haibara AND Ran

Re: Characters That Gets On Your Nerves!
[1]God forbid she'd not want children to die. It's not the question whether ai's suicidal behaviour is "shocking" or not. It's annoying.
[1]Because she wants to suicide in order to not involve the others around here with the BO and get them killed.[/1] [2]Of course she also want's to suicide in order to get free from the BO and her sad past etc.[/2]
[3]But when she wanted to suicide, she also thought something like "it's better when I'm gone" or something.
That's what I find most annoying.[/3] [4]Because she knows that conan, Ran and the others, like Ayumi and co. would save her no matter what.[/4] [5]So, with her "suicidal behavior" or more like, her giving up, she's endangers her friends, tho she actually tried to save them with that act. Especially conan.[/5]
[2]Well, there really isn't a better "selfish" reason to do it. I mean what is her life? Family-less, endangering everyone who "cares" for her, caused the death of numerous people against her wishes, her current life is a lie and her entire friend base are kids half her age who know nothing of who she really is, her entire life before has been being trained to be a robot to make poison, her entire life she was discriminated against. And since all of her suicide attempts were defiantly special occasions, really she has a very, very, VERY resilient mood. It's amazing, it really is.
[3]Because the world without her would (in her mind) benefit everyone. Weather or not it's true isn't really the point. In her mind which would know more then anyone's, her death might bring false pain to some people for a bit but save their lives and their family's lives.
[4]Well if she was ever going to kill herself of anything but those situations where something horrible just happened and she had to time to cool down or no time to prepare then she could have easily done it with no one intervening. It really would have been easy.
[5]That's a risk at those situations she felt like she had to take. That if she didn't just die now then it could end everything for everyone to her. Especially Conan. "Don't run away from your density" sounds neat but that destiny could ruin countless lives.
[1]Because Conan always stays from trouble against her wishes... minus that time x 10000000.[1]And I also count the behavior in 345 as suicidal. She was shut away in that room, so she doesn't encounter the BO. But she still goes there...[/1] [2]unprepared. What did she want to do? "Save conan"? How? Especially, since Vermouth was there. [2]What else could she do, if she did nothing Conan could die, she didn't know what was going on and she had to risk it. I mean Conan's plan was banking of Vermouth not killing Ai and that Vermouth had nobody with her and that the doctor would get there first, ect. ect. Ran's plan was hide in a possible psychopath's care and hope she never opens the trunk. Are we really getting on Ai for not being Patton at the last second? And when your friend is in the hands of the worst person you've ever met how long do you think your friend would have before death.
[3]Well if that was the case Conan would be dead anyway. And again, it's not like Conan planned for multiple member either. Or Jodie.

I wanted to say why she want's to suicide. Besides that she had a hard live (since you usually want to suicide when you have a hard time or a hard live in generally. I never heard that someone, that is truly happy and satisfied with his life, want's to suicide :x)
[2] Same here. I never said she didn't have a hard live. I never said she doesn't have a reason to have suicidal thoughts

[3] Again, that's not the point. Of course she thinks that. Of course it's also logical for her to think that.
But what I don't like is this:
She thinks she could save her friends when she suicides. But she does that, when she's next to her friends, which she imo should know good enough now, and still tries to suicide. She should know, even when emotionally unstable, that the others, especially conan, would risk their live to save her.
So, her wanting to die actually brings conan and co in danger. When she's in stress, she's actually not thinking calm. She was in the BO. She should be able to handle such stress, since she should be used to that. Bust she's being irrational, which doesn't fit her character imo. Which, is annoying for me.
[4] see [3]. She should be able to handle such stress more than she did. Or let's say, her character was portrayed as if she should be able to handle it.
[5] Well... she was working on a drug, which she herself said was in order to kill people. And killing people kinda ruins the life of the one that dies and the ones that know that person too.
So, imo, "Don't run away from your density" would also mean to take responsibility for what she did.
[1]Because Conan always stays from trouble against her wishes... minus that time x 10000000.[1]And I also count the behavior in 345 as suicidal. [1]But she never wanted to encounter the BO. She knows how dangerous the BO is. She doesn't know what's really going on... But she still goes there unprepared? That's pretty irrational and not logical. She could have tried to call conan or agasa instead, for example. (tho that's also plot-line. same plot like putting ran into a trunk, in order to make everything dramatic

[2] Well. Ran did know Jodie a bit. But yes. It's irrational to follow a potential psychopath. As irrational as following a evil organization, that definitely has some weapons, unprepared.
True, she wanted to help her friend. But she should also have known if she can actually help or not.
Maybe, she did know that she could make a deal. Her life for the safety of her friends. Would be her only weapon if she followed conan. But that again, makes her suicidal.
[3]But conan knew more about the situation. And Gin/Vodka could still have been there. Not sure what conan planed in that case.
Well, jodie planned on back-up anyway... but that failed XD
You can think that it's not annoying. But that doesn't mean I have to think or feel the same way D: But I do understand most of your points. But that doesn't change how I feel about that

Detective Kaoko is still new here :V So I wouldn't blame her. And there isn't any bashing here (yet?) anyway D:bluekaitou1412 wrote: But Haibara vs Ran arguments are soooo plenty in the forum alreadyThey should avoid it while they can in making such polls

[1]Ya I know[1] That wasn't the point I like how you try to make things look differently I never said that it's bad that she wants to save her friends.
I wanted to say why she want's to suicide. Besides that she had a hard live (since you usually want to suicide when you have a hard time or a hard live in generally. I never heard that someone, that is truly happy and satisfied with his life, want's to suicide :x)

[5] Well... she was working on a drug, which she herself said was in order to kill people. And killing people kinda ruins the life of the one that dies and the ones that know that person too.
So, imo, "Don't run away from your density" would also mean to take responsibility for what she did.

[2]I wasn't saying you weren't aware of that, just that the main place of her suicidal thoughts were still grounded in protecting others (because of bad situations), instead of pure depression.
[3]While it is a bad idea, again she was shocked beyond her life at the moment and her thoughts were clouded. She just knew she had to die. Also tbf the bomb did take over 2 minutes longer then it should have

[4]^
[5]But in that, more and more lives are risked for this kids antidote. Not to mention it's still hard since her current life is hiding from what she did.
[1]Of course it's irrational. She has no idea how much time she has so what's she going to do? Try to find a working gun somewhere? In the end it didn't work but really there was nothing else to do. The only reason the situation got messed up because Conan was just lucky Calvados worked alone (not counting Verm employing him) and that Calvados has yet to learn the talent of shimmy to the left.[1]But she never wanted to encounter the BO. She knows how dangerous the BO is. She doesn't know what's really going on... But she still goes there unprepared? That's pretty irrational and not logical. [2]Yes, everyone was being stupid. Ai just had no time to be smart. And how was Ai supposed to know? Walk down there quietly and hope no one sees her so she has a chance to figure out the situation? Again no time for that.
[3]Conan knew Verm wanted Ai, that Verm wanted them separate, and that the doctor was Verm. Conan made sure the second part happened. Other then that (which Ai could have guessed) and the doctor being Verm (which Ai could have guessed) she was on the same field. Unless you count knowledge of Yukiko.
No nearly as annoying as the other characters. With all the old Ai hate I wanted to give an alternate view for possible voters. It could of given some people a second way of viewing things, why not role up the sleevesYou can think that it's not annoying. But that doesn't mean I have to think or feel the same way D: But I do understand most of your points. But that doesn't change how I feel about that.
