Live actions

Is it just me, or do you guys also think that the live actions for any anime are kinda...lame.

There's no way they can cast an anime character. What are your thoughts?

I agree for the most part, there have to be SOME good ones out there though otherwise they would not continue making them all the time.

Well some mangas are based on popular stories from before, and when they make live action of those it's not too bad.

Of course there is always the "japanese acting", but then it can be pretty funny xD.

By the way, this might not be related to the thread, but does anyone know anything about the new Lupin live action.
They talked about it at 2006 and we heared no more.

I also think that's impossible to cast an anime character, but i think that's not the question =-D

To me, live action is to give us an idea of how it would be in real life (if it's were possible =-P), it's an another (and weird) experience, give birth to something that's only drew... Now i'm thinking about this process, should be hard to choice actors o0

Anyway, i think it's valid, at least for fans, i have watched both of the 2 conan's live action movies and enjoyed it!

Personally it all depends on the Anime they are doing.  I though the ones for DC were really good.  I have one for death note but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

It's the movie, it's lame XDDD

No offense, but seriously, the cast is kinda sucks XDDD---- no offense, but Conan seemed to be quite realistic to some point that's it's possible to be a good live action drama, but the cast pick was totally wrong... or so I think ^_^

It's like in both movie, they are not even "trying" seriously... I think XDDD

I don't know, They are not even thinking right... the director probably never seen DC himself XDDDDD, I was really hoping for a suspense... but it was disappointing...

EXACTLY what I was saying! I mean seriously I don't think they even TRY to know the story.... It's like a parody of the whole thing for me  I didn't even bother to go past 60 minuts for each special... seriously... from the start... it was wrong DAME! XDDD

i never watch live actions , the only live action i saw was DC Live action 2 , the whole concept was fine , but the cast kind-off disappointed me , but i guess its hard to find people that look like anime :p ,  you know ran's bangs is really i dunno weird , triangular shaped , i guess its hard to make a hair look like that in real life , but gin's hair since when it turned grey ? , and its too obvious its a wig !
