Proposition #5 (December 11th-12th, 2010) — COMPLETE
Brief: Participant breva was the unlucky user to be randomly awarded +60 tokens from the last proposition while the other seven targets' tokens were reduced to just 1.
Proposition: Two new roles, the Warden and the Patron, form a new partnership as the result of a previous proposition.
The Warden Role
The Warden role is a role determined as a result of a previous proposition. The user chosen to receive +50 tokens from the second proposition at the behest of the Mayor is the Warden.
You, Parkur, have now assumed the Warden role. This is a permanent role, meaning you are no longer eligible for future roles that will come up in the contest.
This is known as a public and blind partner role. In other words, your name will be announced to the public but, in this case, will not be revealed until your decision has been made. Once your decision has been made, your partner will be made aware of your decision and will complete the proposition.
THE WARDEN'S RULES (assuming no penalties)
- You now have the opportunity to save the token leader, breva, that was randomly chosen to assume +60 tokens from the previous proposition.
- You have assumed the Warden role on account of being awarded +50 tokens in the course of the second proposition. The Mayor's decision saw pofa pardoned from the contest, making them ineligible for the prize or to return to the game--until now.
- As the Warden, you now have the opportunity to have pofa return to the game.
- If pofa successfully rejoins the game, the current token leader, breva, will see their amount of tokens reduced to 1, while pofa's token count will be 3 upon their return.
- Having pofa return to the game must be a coordinated decision. For this to happen, your partner must agree.
- Your partner will have the opportunity to award you tokens should you consent to having pofa return to the game and they disagree.
- You will not be made aware of your partner's identity until the proposition has come to an end.
- Alternatively, you may choose two users from the previous proposition to receive +15 tokens, excluding breva, and not allow pofa to return to the game. As with the first choice, your partner will be able to decide on your fate. Participant breva's tokens will remain at their current amount should you choose this option.
- If you do not make a decision by the deadline, a default penalty will be assessed. Your partner will be given the opportunity to choose between options that decide the exact penalty for the other players involved, with +5 tokens awarded to you in the process.
The Patron Role
The Patron role is a role determined as a result of a previous proposition. The user chosen to be pardoned from the second proposition at the behest of the Mayor is the Patron. Concurrently, another user has assumed the role of Warden. The Warden is considered your partner, as detailed below.
You, pofa, have now assumed the Patron role. This is a permanent role, meaning you are no longer eligible for future roles that will come up in the contest and are still not considered a player in the game nor are you eligible to receive its prize or be targeted for tokens by other roles at this time.
This is known as a semi-public and blind partner role. Depending on your decision, your identity may or may not be revealed at the time of your decision if applicable.
PARTNER'S DECISION:
Your partner has assumed the role of Warden. The Warden was given the opportunity to save their fellow participant breva. As you may know, the previous proposition ended with seven of eight targets having their tokens reduced to one. The unlucky remaining user was breva, who was chosen randomly to receive +60 tokens.
The Warden was presented with the following options:
OPTION 1 — Save user breva by seeing their tokens reduced from over 60 to 1, and make it possible for the Warden's partner (you) to see former participant pofa rejoin the game with a total of 3 tokens. Your partner was not made aware that you were the one responsible for making this decision regarding your own re-entrance to the game. The Warden was made aware that, should you disagree with their decision, a token penalty would follow.
OPTION 2 — The Warden may have chosen two users from the previous proposition to receive +15 tokens, excluding breva, and not allow you, pofa, to return to the game. As with the first choice, the Warden's partner was to decide on their own fate. Participant breva's tokens would have remained at their current amount should this option have been chosen.
The Warden has taken Option 1.
THE PATRON'S RULES (assuming no penalties)
- Your partner has made their decision. Your partner was given the two choices above, that essentially involved saving breva and inviting you to rejoin the game with a total of 3 tokens, or award tokens to others and leave breva as one of the most likely to be chosen in the draw.
- If you ACCEPT your partner's phase of the proposition, user breva will see their tokens reduced from the leading amount of over 60 to just 1. This will take breva from the most likely to be drawn to among the least. However, if you do accept your partner's decision to save breva, you will return to the game with a total of 3 tokens as a player.
- If you REJECT your partner's phase of the proposition, the player that has assumed the Warden role will take on breva's previous tokens, while breva will still be reduced to just 1. If you go with this option, you will remain out of the game, breva will still be saved, and the player in the Warden role will take breva's place as the leader in the game. Should you take this option, your identity as the Patron will go unrevealed and only partial details of your task will be given.
- If you do not make a decision by the deadline, the rejection option will be taken.
Results: The Warden (Parkur) opted to save breva and risk incurring a penalty at the hands of the Patron. The Warden and Patron were assigned as the participant awarded +50 tokens in Proposition #2 and the user pardoned in that same proposition, respectively. The Patron was the former participant excused from the game by Kor, pofa.
Pofa had the option of her identity and task going unrevealed while staying out of the game, having Parkur's sacrifice be breva's tokens reduced to 1 while he took on her former amount.
In the end, Pofa has accepted the proposition, saving both Parkur and breva, and returning to the game with a total of 3 tokens. Parkur and breva both have 1 token.
