And about Eragon: Really bad film. Really. Even my friend who is generous when comparing films to books agreed that it sucked, after she re watched it anyway.

Whoa... made this topic, went to sleep... then wake up and find 3 pages.

So... uh... what are pdfs? xD

And xpon, it's okay if you don't like the movies. ^^ The topic is for both the books and the movies. Just make sure that if you post anything about the 7th book, that it's in spoilers. ^^

The movie adaption of Eragon was really that bad ??? I loved the movie. Guess I'll have to read the book. xD

My favorite shippings are RonxHermione and LunaxNeville. ^^
Spoiler:
Too bad Luna and Neville don't end up together, though.

PDF is a kind document. To have them of copywrited books would be illegal just like having licensed manga is.

I adore the books, much better than the movies. I don't think they translate very well into the movies; there's so much in the books, and some of it's very subtle. It just can't all fit into a movie, though I'm hopeful for what they'll manage for book seven by splitting it into two movies.

Probably what I love most (aside from the Weasley Twins ♥
Spoiler:
FREEEEEED! *cries* GEORGE'S EEEEEAAAAR! *cries more*
is how the books grew up with their readership. The kids who first read the first book were in their teens or twenties by the time the last one came out, and it really shows in how the books get longer and darker. And how the whole mass character death grows on it.
Spoiler: book six
I drove my cousin insane about two weeks before the sixth movie came out because I made an offhand comment about hwo it would have been more appropriate if Dumbledore's original actor hadn't died until after this movie. She flipped because, despite the book having been out for maybe two years by this point IIRC, she still hadn't read it and didn't know that Dumbledore dies. I know some people prefer to watch the movies than read the books, but it's kind of annoying; they miss so much, and flubs like this happened.
Apropos of nothing, this series has lead to an injoke among my friends where whenever someone asks how a book or movie or the like ends, we just respond "Everyone dies and it turns out Dumbledore's a woman." We do this for anything.

Books are 1000% better than the movies. But the movies still are tolerable. Unlike that other series and books. :-X

Why would I be spoiled? I think you misread what I said. I read the books AND watch the movies.
Also;
3 more days for me until the movie comes out.(Why does it have to be on a school day, though? D: )

I am catching the midnight premiere. I'm a big Harry Potter fan and I absolutely adore the books. I read the first book when I was in 3rd Grade and I've followed the series since then, so it's such a big part of my childhood.

I don't mind the movies and I personally think they did a pretty good job with translating from book to silver screen. I was a bit bleh with the 6th movie since they had, generally, up to that point followed the plotline of the books and
Spoiler:
the 6th book deviated from that a bit and I was pissed as hell when they left out the Hogwarts battle and stuck in the lame ass fight at the Weasley's house. I was like WTF is up with that? Whatever
And yes, Eragon was an absolutely horrendous movie to see. Ugh, it makes my top 5 list and I've seen a lot of crap ass movies.

I'm really excited and nervous about seeing Part 1 of Deathly Hallows. When the last book of HP came out I thought, "Oh, the book series has ended but at least the movies are still coming out." and it's almost like Harry Potter is ending again for me. I'm really feeling sad about it. I really do love Harry Potter and I know there are other really awesome and amazing stories out there, and I can always read the series and watch the movies again, but it's not the same. :(

I'm actually waiting for Aoyama to start winding down DC. I love the Harry Potter series much more than Detective Conan. THERE I SAID IT! Is it blasphemy to do so on this forum? Maybe. But I said it anyways. >_>
