Come to think of it, this may explain why the bathrooms flood/catch fire on a regular basis. It might not just be that everyone despises the headie like he's Dolores Umbridge.

I'm so excited right now. XD

Friend and I have been talking about getting an apartment together - originally after the divorce is finalized with her husband, but we're looking at ASAP now - and so we've been kind of looking around. Went to six complexes on Wednesday, and they were all nice, but not exactly what we want/can afford. We were gonna maybe settle on the first one we looked at Wednesday if the one we were planning to go to today was way too expensive, but we thought we'd at least check first.

So, after I got off work, we stopped by the complex and sat down with one of the employees and kinda talked things out. At first it kind of looked like it would be way out of our price range, but then she remembered that there was one 2-bed/2-bath floor plan that had a special on it. So we talked through the details and then walked around and looked at the complex, and the model apartment and everything, and it was amazing.

The one we were originally thinking about in a different complex was around 930-something square feet, and the one we looked at today was 1200 sq. feet, for less than $100 extra a month. Also, because of where I work, we get like $500 waived off the deposit. So she just has to talk to her parents about helping her out a little with the money for the deposit and app fees and I've got enough money to cover my half of it, but I'm sitting down with my mom and step-dad tonight and talking things through with them, and if all goes well, we should be moving in around the beginning of December.
