Okay, I have to ask. Why are the voices panned to the left and right? It sounds completely awkward when listening to headphones, and I had to mix it down to mono before I could actually listen to this...

Azu, why did you need a transcript of that one couldn't you hear what CC said clearly?

I was expecting some amateur attempt, but the result actually sounded professional in that you guys seem to have done other podcasts before.  It will be interesting to see if this format can be continued as there is not that much Conan news on a weekly basis unless you plan on just debating who should hook up with whom.

I'm sure they could debate far more important stuff in this series first.

Like which character has the best shoes. :)

anyway I do think I've confirmed that you need to find a way to avoid the absurd amount of interruptions.

I'm not the person in charge of doing audio editing, so you would have to go to Southpaw of the podcast for that question (Though I don't think she's a member here. Let me know if you would like to contact her directly, though I've passed your complaint on to her.) However, I personally don't have a problem with it, myself. It was annoying for a few minutes, but it didn't bother me that much to the point where I would have wanted to edit and mix it. But that's just me. and being into other hobbies, such as music and television-related hobbies, things like this are nothing compared to the quality of other things I hear; so, my opinion on this isn't going to be as useful as, say, your opinion.

Are you sure it's not a problem with whatever you use to listen to the podcasts? General consensus is that I have the loudest voice in the entire thing, so that's a headscratcher to me.

This week, we experimented by doing the podcast a week after the last one instead of two weeks after, to see how things worked out. If it weren't for the long discussion that we had on the various OVA's, this episode would've been brutally short. Two weeks is probably a better idea, as then it means more news-worthy items could possibly occur.

There's a ton of main topics that we could go over on episodes (The identity of Anokata, Gin's relationship with Haibara, The Black Organization's true M.O., things of that nature), so as of right now I'm not worried about episode content, but I can definitely see it being a problem in the future.

Another thing I wanted to do was a discussion on the latest episode that's aired, but considering how many complaints I've already received on the length of each podcast, I don't think that's gonna happen. :P

Honestly, you've gotta speak louder and more clearly into the mic, slider. I was listening to the raw piece of the podcast, and there were times when we were recording that you were so quiet. But, when I listened to it via the raw, I DID hear you, but only faintly in the background when I put the volume really loud. Sometimes when you were talking, we couldn't even hear you, so we thought the silence was because no one was saying anything, so one of us started talking again. Seriously, mang, next time you gotta speak up! And that's in general for everyone, if you're gonna do this, you can't talk low and quiet on the mic. Mic's and headsets can get very picky, which I learned the hard way with something else I was doing. Next time, man, you gotta speak up, because a lot of the things you were about to say were really interesting, and it was great to have someone who was that knowledgeable discuss the series, which is why I think it was a shame that you didn't speak up. This would've been tons more fun, especially since you had differing opinions on some topics, and it would've sparked some seriously interesting debating, me thinks.

BTW, drop me a PM when you can, slider. Need your assistance on somethin'.

Also, I'm starting to think some of you have never listened to a podcast or a radio show before. I grew up on sports talk radio, have listened to my fair share of regular radio broadcasts, and even at one point briefly studied broadcast journalism. Interruptions happen all the time. More often than you think, actually. In fact, news talk radio is BUILT on that entire concept. Try listening to twenty minutes without counting people interrupting each other more than like ten times. It's gonna happen; quite often, in fact. Especially with something like a hobby that three people share a great deal of passion for. People wanna get their say. Hopefully I didn't step on anyone's toes with this rant, but it had to be said. It's gonna happen, even when we try to avoid it, and in situations like last night's recording, it's gonna look bad when someone doesn't speak up loud enough in their mic.

Either way, thank you to everyone for listening. We're all extremely surprised that this has become as popular as it has. We weren't expecting so many people to be listening, which is what the statistics say, so we're extremely happy for those results. Thank you for your support, and through your feedback, we've been trying to work things out so that everyone can be happy.  :-*

ETA: BTW, folks, as I said before, expect episode 3 to be out by Sunday!

Yo, I'mma let you guys finish, but CC is not hard to hear in any of them. Sounds like an audio set-up problem on the part of people mentioning it.

This is true but I personally think discussing your opinions on the absurd amount of episodes/movies/etc is plenty of stuff to talk about for quite a while. I mean we essentially spent the better half of an hour talking about 13, slightly longer than normal episodes, OVAs.

Spoiler:
File 745 came out a couple days ago.  Normally I'm not a viewer---I mean, a reader of the manga.  *Normally* I'm not a reader of the manga.  But, after hearing what everybody was saying, I bit the bullet.  I had to read this one.  Because, there's a lot of stuff, a lot of stuff went on.  Not just case-wise but also for folks that are---have been waiting for Ran to finally confront Shinichi, who, by the way, *spoiler alert* does return.  I won't say how, I won't say why, but for those of you who've been *waiting* for Ran confront Shinichi about certain things, and I won't say what kind of things, well, this latest chapter really, really goes in that direction.  And it ends with a *gigantic*, gigantic scene and all I could say was, "Took ya long enough, Ran."  Seriously.  Ugh.  "Took ya long enough, man".  But if you haven't read it yet I highly recommend you check it out and read it.  It's fantastic stuff.  It makes me want to---it makes me wish I just say, "Forget about waiting for the manga---episodes to come out."  For the anime adaptation of Conan.  Like, I should just start following the manga now.  Because, at least with the manga you don't get the crap filler episodes that don't make any sort of sense at all.

Fixed, my apologies.  From now on I'll be sure to divide up the Conan News accordingly; Manga, Anime, and Misc.
