I agree too; when I GM'd nobody gave me any suggestions or tapes at all. :( And that was a long time ago.

(So Akonyl wants to suggest murder methods AND not riddle little girls with bullets. That sounds like having your cake and eating it.)

V: No offense, I would have enjoy reading a good and interesting story accompanying the deaths more than a report of well, <20 lines, and that was why I started playing mafia, XD after reading about the death of Ayumi XD

(pofa, personally, I would prefer seeing other people getting murdered brutally, too, even little girls, babies, and pets XD - maybe kill Watson when you're killing Hakuba :P.... )
@ Akonyl, Dunno, I was laughing so hard reading that think you'll need to come up with a new murder method, it was fun once, but I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to kill a little girl like Ayumi

Oh, that's a good idea...or maybe they find a BO eyeball in Watson's talons. >:D *takes notes* I won't have time during mini-mafia, though. XD

Edit after realizing I'm way off-topic: Can somebody explain "stalk" to me? Do they have to choose between the observe, steal, etc. ability or is it random?

Edit edit: Also "lovey dovey;" it says that only one lover can use it. Is that for the whole game (once Lover A uses it, Lover B can never use it) or can they switch as the game goes on?

Well, you can include that in maybe the next mafia round you'll GM ^^ :P

Stalk, since I've used it in mini mafia, I think it'll just give you a list of things that was done to the person you're stalking,
Ex: I stalked James Rye, it came back "James Rye was investigated" , and you have investigated him that night ^^

With bone breaking, Akai can protect someone every night. In case that person is being sniped (with or without erase), the sniper get's injured and can't snipe anymore (but maybe can still use vengeance), and the killing fails.
If that player was killed normal, then nothing happens to the BO and the victim dies. If akai protects a Sniper that is sniping, nothing will happen too and the sniped one will die.
For that, I want to change heal and normal protect. Snipe will bypass heal, but the healer won't die, just the victim. And in case a protector protects someone who is sniped, the protector dies but the protected one will survive.

Every lover can use it. So in case lover a protected lover b on night 1. Then on night 2 or day 2, the other lover, lover B, can protect his lover. Or Lover A protects again.
You just can't protect in the same day/night. So if you protect on night 1, neither of the lovers can protect on day 1.

Lovey-dovey can be investigated and will be the same as "protect". So if someone uses lovey-dovey, and it is investigated "Lover a protects lover b", it will come out as true.
Bone breaker will be like protect too when investigated :V


@DBs: They won't be fleeing when killed :x They are pretty strong anyway :V Since they have a ally from the beginning.

so it's a protection with an injured BO part to it that only works when the target is sniped? Sounds good, but for an anti-sniping thing "bone-breaking" sounds a bit weird because they'd be far away. If this is supposed to take after the akai vs gin vs kogoro thing where kogoro almost got sniped, then there was no bone-breaking going on there :P

As for the protection/healing changes, the healing change makes sense, but I'm not sure about the protector thing, because if the sniper was sniping someone I don't think the protector would be able to get in the way of the bullet, if they don't know where the sniper is.

Eww, snipers are already pretty weak anyway. The only thing that they have for them is that the BO can get around the watch, protectors and Sonoko.
So usually the BO will use a sniper when they want to kill a target that MIGHT survive the night if a normal member goes and kills it. Having Akai to make them even worse with an ability that only affects snipers will now remove even their strongest point.
So I am not a fan of that new ability. If you really want to introduce it it might be a good idea to give the snipers something in return to compensate for getting even worse. It was similar for me, when First Aid got changed - since it was no longer beneficial to sniper a victim that was first-aided (before it would die the next day and not learn the identity of the killer if it was a sniper) I gave them the "Revenge" ability to injure a townie when they got lynched. Which did not have much of an impact on the two games played with this ability so far...

So if you change Akai, something has to be done with the snipers as well. Because that new ability would make the (arguably) worst BO role(s) even worse.


About killing the poor Detective Boys.
Well, I underestimated their power before I GMed my own game. I was never one of them.
Still, I feel like the BO should concentrate on the real dangers to them, not on a bunch of 7 year old grade schoolers.
I guess if Kleene is so heartless and wants to have them killed it is up to her, but I felt a lot better not worrying about having to write a real death scene for them. Or about killing Ayumi-chan in a gruesome manner like some other player here...

Well, the bone-breaking was more because of calvados. Since Gin was sniped by akai, but Gin himself isn't considered a sniper.
And the other snipers were all just panicking and not really injured when Kogoro was targeted :x
And if I take the example of Akai vs. Gin, Akai himself would need a sniper.
But here it's more like he follows the victim silently, notices the sniper and makes a falcon punch at him :x

While the normal protector would be near the victim, see a red dot at the head, jump in between and die X.x

Just Akais ability will be able to prevent a sniping (but not a normal killing).
Healing/Protecting (including First Aid) won't help when someone is sniped. There will be at least 1 dead townie, without the sniper being revealed in any way.

And if they get their bones broken, then they just can#t snipe anymore. They will still be able to kill normal or injure someone when arrested/lynched. Since broken bones will reduce their accuracy, meaning they can#t use a sniper rifle. But they can still bite someone throat and whatnot :x

And I thought about giving some BOs normal abilities, like interrogate etc.
For Korn and Chianti, I thought they could maybe Observe or stake-out? Since, they are usually at high places, they can observe people (and stake out is similar to that). Dunno if it would be too powerful tho :V But since Observe is weakened too, into not revealing gender, maybe it's not too bad.

Well, it's up to the GM I guess if they let the DB flee or they die. But since in DC, the DBs could actually really die, I prefer them dieing :x
But they won't be able to contact their fellow DB members. Meaning once "murdered" (whether they flee or die), they are out of the game :)
