it would be really great to see them work together, but i have a feeling (as long as movie 13 don't end it) that i won't be for a while yet.
personally i'd love to see a bit of friendship between them, after all, their showdowns at heists are....... amazing (nothing quite beats it )

Well, those are two differing series, but Kid is a sideline character, he IS important for the vermonth story...

Kaito Kid's father died by the hands of an organization, because of the jewel Pandora. Its tears are said to grant the owner immortality.
It somehow reminds me of what Ai said about APTX 4869. It was the case when she and Conan went to the house which her father gave his friend, I guess. I don't know, but maybe these two stories could somehow be connected. Kaito Kid's and Conan's so that it would be necessary for Kaito Kid to help Conan in one way or another. Only a guess, though ^_^

It is my hope that Kaito KID and Conan will help each other defeat the B.O.

it has long been hinted that Kaito Kuroba's father may have fallen under the BO. In MK he fell before a large criminal organization who's after Pandora's gem, which weeps tears of immortality upon consumption during the passing of a special comet. The only known facts about it are that it's a doublet (one gem inside another) and it glows red under the full moon. So Kuroba takes on the identity of his father as KID to search over the world for the gem and vows to destroy it before the organization finds it.

On the other hand, it has been hinted mulitple times in DC that the BO aims to live forever, to reverse aging, to revive the dead, or something on the line of immortality. Such examples include Haibara's famous quote "humans cannot reverse/stop time, if they try to be force, they will be severely punished" and the diary by the game software designer whom Conan impersonated to make a deal with Vodka to attempt to arrest him.

And since both series are done by Gosho, it's highly possible that Conan and KID have been facing the same enemy and don't know it yet. Some websites already claim that the crime organization in MK is BO, although I don't know how much truth's in that. They will probably work together as the perfect secret agent duo if they do realize that they are facing the same enemy.

So far we can't be completely sure; we'll probably have to wait until when Gosho decides to end DC.

First KID almost got caught by Kudo, then he got shrunk and apparently forgot that he faced KID before.
Then Conan faced KID, and start his hunt for some reason.
I just wish that he would find out that KID is his eternal Rival XD
Their fathers were playing tag game even before Shinichi and Kaitou were born.

I think that means that KID and Kudo will cooperate if needed.

I can't really answer that question, but I have a small suspicion that Gosho is planning on doing something with Kaitou KID because:

• first of all, why did he put KID into the series when he already has his own?
• he puts in little hints about KID and Pandora (He always says "These were not the jewels I was looking for,when returning the gems he steals, and the things they said about Pandora's Box from files 475~478 bothers me a bit...)"

Back then, Shinichi was never told who the thief he was going after was. At the end of that scene, he said to Megure-keibu that he never told him the name of that thief, but Megure was so into trying to solve the code KID left, that Shinichi didn't bother to get an answer.

Well, first off, Snake's group is animal based-names. The Black Organization has alcohol based names. I'm thinking that they're rival companies, but probably in the end Kaitou Kid won't be there, due to the fact that
