Thanks =D.. yours is good too! and i guess its all about playing with layers in photoshop. it took a VERY long time for me to get to where i am now and yet im still trying to get better. just looking at dA's artists makes me feel incompetent =/.

I think the people put their tutorials up there for you to learn but not copy exactly? and you can just pick one or two tutes and start practicing. soon or later you would develop your own style from constant experimenting

What kind of brush do you use then?

I think it took about half an hour-one hour for mine, but the first one was longer since it was the first one I ever made.

no brush.. i use paint bucket and eraser.

so i create new layer... make it multiply..color it.

and then erased all part that not for that color.

add new layer.. put a new color and repeat!

Then it is no wonder it takes long time, I use a special setting on my brush so it doesn't paint over the black lines. Think it was darken, but I don't remember and I haven't installed photoshop yet.

It is possible to do a lot by using layers and changing settings. It is possible to change the settings on layers to so that they work differently. Try it out for yourself and play around with it. I am sure you will become a lot better then =)
