While it may be true that it's overly advertised, I don't think that's the main reason to blame the town's loss on. Shuuichi Akai may have been an example of that, but he's the only person that played last round that hasn't either played a game previously or joined this one. We have several more new people joining this round, so maybe after this round we'll be able to decide a little better whether it's a case of people hearing about it too much, checking it out and deciding half-way through the game that they don't like it. Most of the inactive players last round were people who've played before.Abs. wrote:^ I agree with thisAkonyl wrote:they won because of the inactivity on the part of the town (which I would actually partially blame on how much mafia is 'advertised', instead of just letting those who are interested stumble into the topic of their own accord)

Btw, I wasn't advertising the Mafia game in the CTRL+V thread. I was just pasting what I copied.Abs. wrote:^ I agree with thisAkonyl wrote:they won because of the inactivity on the part of the town (which I would actually partially blame on how much mafia is 'advertised', instead of just letting those who are interested stumble into the topic of their own accord)

I suppose, but I did say "partially" anyway, so I'm covered.PhoenixTears wrote:While it may be true that it's overly advertised, I don't think that's the main reason to blame the town's loss on. there was also parkur, who got himself lynched due to not using his night 1 action and it was his first time as well, iirc.
but either way at this point I'm not sure it needs to be advertised, as we have enough people joining every round and if last round is any indication, people who die at the start will start gettin antsy if the game drags on too long.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about Parkur. But even still, that's only 2 of 28 players. I agree though that we should probably stop advertising it at this point. And yeah, getting killed off early, and then barely being able to talk during the rest of the game is going to really annoy some people if the game drags on as long as the last one did.Akonyl wrote: I suppose, but I did say "partially" anyway, so I'm covered.

I'd like to add Kaia to this list. She was confused on how to use her role, which pretty much gave the BO the necessary info to poison her.Akonyl wrote:I suppose, but I did say "partially" anyway, so I'm covered.PhoenixTears wrote:While it may be true that it's overly advertised, I don't think that's the main reason to blame the town's loss on. Yeah, but she died early because she got confused. She didn't just decide to stop playing, and has joined the game this round, too. So it's not quite the same.Conia wrote: I'd like to add Kaia to this list. She was confused on how to use her role, which pretty much gave the BO the necessary info to poison her.

Due to the massive spam, I don't remember any of this happening...

well... i dont think we should stop someone from playing.. but if in the middle of a game.. some character stop responding (experience player can be in active too.. because of rel life or sick maybe) what will the GM do?
can the dead people of the same side subtitute him/her?
the GM can chose ...
but this also need attention to all dead people.. that after we died.. we dont contact ANY other player ( live or dead ) so if the GM decide to let us be the subtitude player.. we can.
( player that died in night 1 is mostly dont have clues so he/she will fit. while Any bo can send actions for his teammates that go inactive)

round 12 only had 4 less people than 13 (had 24), and it ended after night 5. The length of round 13 wasn't from the amount of people, it was from the horrendous amount of failed lynchings (and in one case killing)Khinkhun wrote: Oh gosh, how many players already? No kidding! That was insane! (Though, one of those failed lynchings was my fault...Akonyl wrote:round 12 only had 4 less people than 13 (had 24), and it ended after night 5. I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Oh come on. Round 13 was awesome in that it was basically the round of epic fail. Three failed lynchings, one failed killing, Khinkhun turns out to be the Vodka we've been searching for pretty much the entire game, and she's been hiding among the townies without too much suspicion, and every single one of my plans went completely awry to some degree. Then again, it was Round 13.Akonyl wrote:round 12 only had 4 less people than 13 (had 24), and it ended after night 5.
