@Kleene: Beware of the coffee drinking, all teachers I know drink HUGE amounts of coffee and it is contagious. When I read to become a teacher I was at a school for a month as part of my education and I normally drink coffee less than once a week but after I've been there for a week I drank at least three cups every day. And don't even like coffee that much. Also three cups was nothing compared to what they drank.Akonyl wrote:but teachers get summer break!Kleene Onigiri wrote:Maybe I should change from teacher to software development/other office work D:Akonyl wrote:I work in software development, and the people I work with are pretty laid back. and honestly, I always sorta thought being a teacher would be neat, but I've never really been that good at explaining things that I understand perfectly.

Well, in my practice I didn't have much time to eat or to drink (since I was talking with teachers or had to find them first ^^")
Yeah, summer break rocks <3
But in an office job I could spam DCTP forums. And I can't do that as a teacher while mixing bombs together with my pupils :x

For me most of them were in the teaches staff room drinking coffee on breaks. And they would always ask if I wanted coffee to.Kleene Onigiri wrote:D: Thanks for the warning. I think the better question here is: what kind of teacher are you?! And why weren't you a teacher when I was in chemistry?Akonyl wrote:so you use chemistry class to make bombs?Kleene Onigiri wrote:Oi, oi! well this is true, but when I think "bomb", it makes me think more of things meant to explode violently and not just lighting a hydrogen balloon on fire.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Why not? XD There are topics where you make stuff explode ;p

Well, I'd like to keep my job ;p not like someone else who made a huuuuuge hydrogen balloon and let it explode in a closed classroom. Some pupils (and the stupid teacher in spree) got serve hearing damage D:Akonyl wrote:well this is true, but when I think "bomb", it makes me think more of things meant to explode violently and not just lighting a hydrogen balloon on fire.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Why not? my chem professor in college did that, but admittedly it was in a large lecture hall so it was pretty far from any students.Kleene Onigiri wrote:Well, I'd like to keep my job ;p not like someone else who made a huuuuuge hydrogen balloon and let it explode in a closed classroom. Or make the bomb in a smaller amount (so it's not that deadly).Kleene Onigiri wrote:Well, I'd like to keep my job ;p not like someone else who made a huuuuuge hydrogen balloon and let it explode in a closed classroom. I still remember about how sodium, potassium (and keep on going down the family) explodes in water. The larger element (in that family), the better the explosion!

Sleep tight; Don't let the bedbugs bite.
