It's a joke if you fix something. It's being persistent when that fixing is a quote-o-wall.

It's also being persistent. It means you can't accept that the other people have other opinions, and you try to force your opinion on them this way. Meaning you don't like the opinion of the other one. And since you don't like it, it has a influence on you.
So, yes, you are affected a lot by others, and you show it a lot.

And since you yourself are influenced by fans/others, it's funny that you said that

I beg to disagree. I usually find myself hating a character because of the fans, and that is not pathetic. Actually, it made me broaden up my views, if ya know what I mean.

No, I believe you can eventually hate something or someone if the different elements surrounding it hugely affects your perspective.
