Not necessarily. When it was revealed that Xcommando was arrested, CTU mentioned that he believed Xcommando's reason was that his role was Haibara. That would be a good move on Haibara's part, as it would allow her to blend in with the other "children" roles. She could still get her information out without drawing too much attention, right? Or am I over-thinking things again?  *has managed to confuse herself*

True which is why I am upset with myself for thinking that...I thought he was open because he was town, but I guess he thought that as well.

I also believe that xpon is probably town. His actions don't really make much sense as a BO member and wasn't it mentioned that the DBs confirmed his role? If someone knows a DB, it might be a good idea to double-check that with them.

The thing about DBs is this: you can't really prove they are DBs. They can tell you that, and you can interrogate/follow/observe them, but even then, there's room for them to be a different role. So even though someone is claiming to be DB, it doesn't mean they actually are. So, if the person that 'confirmed' xpon's role isn't DB, he's in danger of being poisoned. Unless they're both BO and working together (which I already said I don't think xpon is BO).

As for townies pretending to be DB, it could possibly be a good move, if you don't want someone to prove your abilities and narrow down your role. But that was pretty much thrown out the window when Xcomm got arrested, because the only townies that can be arrested are Kid (for stealing/disguising) and Eisuke (discombobulating). While it's possible he's one of the two roles, I find it unlikely.

It would only take as many as two nights though, since if there's one DB, there's at least two.

Yes, that's a good point about the DBs role - they can give reliable information, but they're hard to prove.

As for the rest, I agree that it's unlikely that Xcommando, now that he's arrested, is one of the town roles. I was pointing out the stuff about Haibara more to say that there could be a reason for a town role to pretend to be a DB. I wasn't trying to say that it was the likely case here.

Sorry for the confusion. I'll try to be clearer in my future posts.

(And all of this has convinced me that, yes, I was definitely overthinking things!)
