Pairing Tolerance

Thinking about it again, Chekhov has a point.  I usually avoid any topics with "Ran" in them like the plague... 

I just avoid pairing topics in general.  Zealots are a crazy bunch.

I tend to enjoy paring topics because minus the cliche hating on other parings and most of the time, worship, parings allow one to observe the interactions of characters and discuss them and how they relate in general. 

So I pretty much like all parings, even the joke ones XD

I agree about that but I fear some of the fans. Fans can be really scary.

I like to think most of the pairing fans just like teasing others rather than actually fight about their fanbases, but I know this is not always the case (Or even the majority sometimes)

Sorry for the late comment, I don't really come to this sub-board. I mean, there are polls in it, why would I go to polls?  ??? (/sarcasm duh!), but seriously, I just don't have much time to go to this section.

Abs. is partly correct, though, and I blame fandom. At the start, when I wasn't part of the forum, I liked the couples, heck, at times I even thought how interesting the AiCon moments are and how the whole triangle will end, so if we ignore my experience in the forum, I would pick option number 1.
So now, why have I started to dislike the couples in general (and AiCon in particular)? The fans!
Now my thoughts are "if this is what fandom is like, then cut me out"
I don't post in couple threads anymore, I might check them from time to time (some funny conversations happened lately thanks to BK  ;)), but that's about it. What drives me mad though, is when the couple discussions are inserted in places they don't belong or not relevant (you know...). It's fine by me if one or two comments are thrown in (especially if they are meant for the laughs. There's nothing wrong with humour.), but to actually turn a non-related-to-couples-thread into a couples thread? That's annoying. (not to mention some certain "overly passionate" fans here are really rude and unpleasant to talk to.)

I get it now. You guys are those type of people whose opinions on one thing is affected by another. Sorry to sound rude but I always found that pathetic. I mean I you like something you like something don't let any external force affect that.

This is like friggen twilight. I bet if it wasn't so popular with so many crazy fans you guys would at least not hate it or dislike it. The same with Justin Bieber and anything popular with lots of crazy fans. It's kinda sad if your gunna let that affect your view of something.

She's your typical shounen female archetype protagonist - she's pretty, impossibly nice/ never gets irritated, cries rivers that can flood China...

She's weak, but Gosho disguises this with her amazing Karate skills, but its completely useless if you throw a nasty stained bedsheet over yourself.

She has no character development, she's just a trophy, a prize for Shinichi when he comes back.  Her most said word, wouldn't be "the" or "a" or "that", it's shinichi.
