It's not necessary Ai taking the lead,it's just Ai being the center of the story,being really important...
as long as I remember,the most interesting arc was mostly focused on Ai(the Vermouth/Sherry arc),to my mind it's better than having useless love stories or repetitive cases...
It is true that, as of now, Ai has had absolutely no importance whatsoever in the Bourbon Arc. Take the Bank Case, all she did was wait outside with the professor the whole time. Concerning the Store Case, I think it was the first direct confrontation with the BO where Ai was not involved at all. Perhaps Gosho is planning to get her involved at the last moment, who knows.
exactly,her role in BO cases was neglected,it's time for her to have a bigger role considering her importance when she was in the BO...moreover Sherry is supposed to be Bourbon's target,according to Kir...I don't know why Gosho would write that several times if it's not true...It wouldn't be logical if BO give up on fiding Sherry,so Haibara SHOULD take center stage one day...even if it's late in the story
In the current arc, Okiya triggered her BO sensor. I think this was the only thing she did in the arc

she accused Akai of being a lolicon...
and yeah,Haibara's role during the Clash of red and black episodes was next to nothing...but I don't know why Haibara wouln't have an important role after Okiya triggered her BO sense,and live next to her...she has to discover who is that person,and I think that's why she will have a big role(not necessary the biggest role)in the next BO arc...
If that's not the case,then I would think Gosho lost his mind for not caring about my precious Ai-chan

How is that Kaito (Who's Kaitou Kid and already appeared in the Dc Manga and Anime) is not a DC Character?? .... Besides, technically I can compare Ai with all the character that I consider that can be comparated with her according to my standars.
