I voted Bandai, but Viz would be good as well, Having both the manga and series could lead to them taking over the dub kinda like how Funi did from 4kids on One Piece.

NIS, really any series, but till then, I guess I can just buy the rest of the VC then start making sub dvds of Conan for my personal collection.

Ok people conan is NOT one piece, conan Might have a barely passable dub HOWEVER it is hardly a train-wreak or a dub anyone is going to consider redoing for a second. if it sells well S23, NIS, or Nazomi would do a dub of at least the key episodes. but no company is going to dub conan with the anime's current track record, unless the TV series sells well for the new (if there is a new one at all).
Also just a reminder The interested parties in conan sub only are (supposedly) Nozumi/rightstuf, NIS, And Section23. Not Bandai (Thank god) or Viz for that matter (viz does not do TMS stuff last time I checked, since they are worse then Toei).

O....k, I wasn't implying that the dub was bad, so much as that if another company did dub it in the future, that they'd likely use a different VA cast, and maybe even the real names would be allowed to be used, thus re-recording the previous funi episodes would make sense, in a similar fashion. But sadly it seems to be even a bit of a stretch to think the series will get a subbed release.

It still just baffles me how Detective Conan isn't doing better in the mass market, I honestly just blame it's timeslot on [AS], even though it was a murder show, it just didn't fit into the very small niche of anime that does well there and would have been much better off as a Afternoon anime, and it still would be if they just tried to promote the show again. How can the box seasons sell well when no one's really heard anything about it since the dub was canceled. I mean that there is a big killer, not to mention how many people are going to pick up an incomplete series they already knew when the VC came out had little chance of being renewed? Sure if it'd sold tons it would have, but that's throwing a bit too much to blame on the consumer.

But oh well, Thank heaven for DCTP and the other great sub teams xD

I agree funi has managed conan Horribly from the beginning when it comes to the DVDs.  and a good portion of the blame for the series not doing well does fall on there shoulders. and thank heavens for all the sub groups who have been committed to this show for years.  however lets show the R1 companies that case closed subbed only would be a hit for them as well.

even though i never said that fansubs were better  seeing as how...idk...about 70-80 percent of groups these days rely on official subs, that would be a pretty retarded statement, and also, Tantei : Leader <- is that really your only role on the anime side of things?

Tantei : Leader <- is that really your only role on the anime side of things?

I am working my timing and editing skils (I am learn from one of the best aka techman) also I manage the translators, (unlike the 35% of groups that just work off what ever translation are around, we actually have to do them ourselves, like night raid and kindaichi since the non- English groups come and ask if they can use our translations to base there's off of) and I manage recruitment, also someone has to remind people we have to actually get episodes out..... sometimes.  (I have organic chemistry and two human anatomy and physiology class next (10 week, aka accelerated class) trimester so I have enough to deal with along with three jobs. while we are on the subject of suddenly changing, how are your desire for loli-con vampire queens going? I am happy that even while the summer anime season sucks for most of us you at least have something to renew your playtime thanks to strike witches 2 . have a good day everyone it has been a wonderful birthday for me (I finally get the last VC box set of conan that I need to complete my collection so I am happy about that among other things.)

to give the show some credit ANN in one review did say if you can get past that then the series historical references and animation are good. however the second review said it was a waste of time, money, and brain cells pretty much so... and parkur try to dis my group again and you will learn a new meaning of the word burn
p.s. funimation all ready has the rights to the second season and will be dubbing it so why don't you go and be a reasonable fan for once and watch it there or even... actually buy the first season for change heven knows you would get your kicks out of it
