- There are less than 1,000 pandas in the wild and just over 100 in captivity

Pandas don't hibernate because they have to eat constantly, because bamboo shots have an incredibly low nutritional value.
Pandas have only one facial expression.

I think we do that also, and possible Denmark as well. When I was at my dads place we had currant marmalade from a company that was Danish. And I've seen other brands and flavours as well, although citrus fruit ones are more common, maybe.Dus wrote: Austria is the only country in the EU that is allowed to sell jams that are not made from citrus fruits as marmelade.

Do you make a distinction between jams and marmelades in Swedish/Danish?nomemory wrote:I think we do that also, and possible Denmark as well. In German, marmelade is Marmelade and jam Konfitüre, but the latter term isn't really used in Austria or Bavaria. So jams have to be calles Konfitüre in Germany (including Bavaria) but not in Austria. There are also numerous other Austrian words for foodstuff and initially they had to use the terms used in Germany.

The Treaty Of Vorgota, signed in 1046, which allowed the inhabitants of Vorgota to take refuge in Lammersberg in case of war, was successfully invoked in both 1121 and 1338 when Drellfurt attacked Vorgota, but the refuge was denied in 1583, when Lammersberg itself attacked Vorgota.
From its inception in 931 until the Battle by the Vorgotahöhe in 1690, Senntiefe was always neutral and didn't participate in any war (and had no army until 1605).

After 3 seconds, we already think of it as a past event. Within this time we think "I'm doing that right now".

Polio was on the verge of extinction in 2001, before a Muslim group spread the rumour that the vaccine that Unicef was delivering was a Western plot to poison Muslim babies, driving many parents to prevent Unicef from entering their towns or villages. Since then, Polio has flared up again, killing or mutilating thousands of children.
