And now for the latest devastating event..

www.onemanga.com (also 1000Manga), one of the largest online manga reader sites, just got shutdown.

It was stated that they will remove all their manga scanlation contents regardless the licensing status.. Although they also said that they got some ideas, but until then...

Question which i believe already asked before by me.. Will Meitantei Conan scanlations keep on surviving in the future ?

If DCTP will close, then local publisher must publish Conan more quickly than before !

I always preferred OM to Mangafox. It was the first online reading service I've ever went to. *sighs*

Does this mean that Mangafox and Mangareader are going to shut down soon?

I just tried loading file 700 of DC and worked well. So I guess they haven't been eliminated yet...

Oh wow really? That sucks.

My sister reads DC at onemanga; she's about 41 chapters to catching up completely. I had introduced her to the site when I found out there was a Tsubasa Chronicles manga. And if it hadn't been for that I would have never rediscovered Detective Conan at all.

I don't read manga, but this makes me sad for her.

Like how Mangafox created the website 'mangareader'?

BTW, Mangafox took DC down, but if you want to read it, you can read it online at 'mangareader.net'

And maybe it's because it seems like Onemanga has been there longer than Mangafox? It may be also due to the fact that it seems like OM doesn't want to get into some dirty business with the publishers.

I don't think Mangafox has been shut down yet, but i heard they already taken down some series content..
