Just guessed OP cause out of the 3, it has the best plot and character development (at least in my opinion)...

A serious anime suggestion from me would be Bartender... Not sure if you've watched it but it's a very likable series...

But I did pickup one of the Big 3 and it's not all bad...but it's back to scouring the depths of the interwebz for episodes like I did when I first started DC, apparently the show doesn't have a handy fansub site like DCTP that has all the episodes for DL in megaupload form.
