well if abs wants to change stuff he should say what it is.
as far as snipers, I say something like there are three abilities:
1) Deadly Sniper - Can negate the effects of healing/first aid on the kill target (as the target instantly dies and has no time to be saved)
2) Quick Sniper - Can negate the effects of protecting(Ran,Makoto,Wristwatch) on the target (so, this is the current version of the sniper)
3) Prepared Sniper - Will always attempt to kill the target, regardless of being tricked or arrested during that phase.
Then, because we have three roles, we can give each role a certain version, so Chianti (Deadly Sniper), Calvados (Quick Sniper), and Korn (Prepared Sniper). And if we decide for some reason they're not powerful enough, we can always give each of them 2 of the 3 roles, making them still unique.
General rules - If you play in this game with more than one username, both usernames will be banned from this and all future Mafia games that are GMed by Abs. Since it is also against forum rules to have multiple accounts, at least one of the accounts will also be deleted.
- Don't ask the GM for information about other players' roles or try to influence moderator tasks (e.g. ask them to not give certain hints). It is frowned upon.
- You may not copy/quote/screenshot etc. the PM from the GM to prove your role to someone else. But you can claim to be a role, whether it's your real role or not.
- You can PM people and post without restrictions (except the GM stuff, see above) when you are alive. If you choose to talk while dead (PM or otherwise), you must be careful that you don’t give anything away. Don't ruin the spirit of the game.
- You may fake/quote/edit other players PM, just not the GM ones.
- If you don't have time or you'll travel somewhere and can't play for some days or you want to quit the game completely, at least notify the GM.
- In case you can't play for a number of phases, you can make a list of actions (Day 2: Vote for Akonyl Night 3: Slander Kleene etc.) If you have allies from the beginning (BO, Lover, DB's or friends) you can give them the command over your character for those phases only by PMing the GM that your ally/allies can submit actions for you for those phases. If the GM notices that you have not come online for a number of days without such a PM (for example in the case of natural disaster, death, etc.), it is up to the GM's discretion what happens to your character.
Gameplay
- You have to PM the GM to vote/use your ability. Posting in the thread doesn't count.
- If Vermouth and KID are in the same game and choose the same person to disguise as, they will both disguise as the same role and the targeted individual will get a new role.
- DB's (Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko), Friends (Sonoko + Best Friend), and Lovers will not overlap. Order of actions
- If multiple incompatible actions are submitted by a player, the last one before time is up is the one that will go through.
- Arresting > Protection charm > APTX > Discombobulating > Killing > All other actions Example 1a:

If a player investigates if another player committed a crime and the result comes back as TRUE, sometimes a random player with a police role will be tipped off that "(ROLE A) (crime) (ROLE B)." The police role will not know who submitted the report, nor which players were involved with the crime. The report could also be sent to a disguised police role. Sometimes the report is lost, and no one is notified (this is random). The player that investigated will never get the report. Auto-Arrest
If a House Search finds a crime, the target is automatically arrested. This Auto-Arrest is a freebie in conjunction with the House Search. If the House Search does not happen, the Auto-Arrest does not happen. Hints, Riddles, Will, Tape/Video tape
- There can be various hints/riddles given out by the GM. This can contain true and false hints. It can be about lovers in the game or who was the murderer etc. There can be hints in the dream or with the PMing of actions too.
- Every player can PM a "Will" to the GM. It can be a letter, a tape or just an item that you'll drop. This Will will be shown in case you're lynched. You can also tell the GM the way you want to die (in case you prefer to burn instead of being hanged etc.)
- The BO can leave a tape/video after each murder. A tape could also be from the GM and not the BO. Thus it can have true clues or false clues.
- The GM has the last decision. In case a will, tape, or method of death is giving out too much info, then it can be changed by the GM accordingly. Dying
Dying players may not take any further actions, and will die the next Night. They may have actions done to them until they die. Arrested
Arrested players may not take any further actions, nor have any further actions done to them except for the Lawsuit. When you're arrested, you can still talk freely (PMing or posting in the thread) about your clues/investigations etc. Dead
Dead players are completely dead, and may no longer attempt to influence the game in any way. No further actions may be done to them. Group - Mitsuhiko, Ayumi, Genta
- Know each other’s identity.
- Each game will either have at least 2 DBs, or none at all. Lovers - Decided by Yumi during prep. phase
- Lovers know the identity of each other.
- When one lover dies, the other dies too by suicide in the same phase. No one can heal, protect or prevent the death of the suiciding lover.
- A Town/town pair wins together with the town. A BO/BO pair wins together with the BO. A Town/BO pair doesn't win when the town or the BO wins. To win as a Town/BO pair they need to kill Yumi and everyone else.
- Lovers can win while one or both are Arrested.
Roles
Spoiler:
- Disguise" means, whether Vermouth or KID can disguise as that role. "Interrogation" means what result an Interrogation will give you (if not Slandered). "Items" are things your character possesses that may be stolen. MAFIA Black Organization (BO) Leadership.
The BO has a Leader. It's Anokata. The Leader has the ultimate right to choose a Night kill target and will give the order. No one can overwrite the Leaders order. Other players can also give out orders, in case the Leader does not. The priority of the orders will be decided by the BO ranking. But the Leader can overwrite that order if he or she returns.
If the Leader orders a Lover to kill the other Lover, it will happen (unless either the Lover was discombobulated, or Vodka was the Lover and discombobulated the Leader), and the killing Lover will suicide if the kill was successful.
The Leader can't command someone else to use APTX. The Leader may only put in his/her own APTX order. The exception is if the BO member PMs the GM giving such permission (only lasts for that Day.)
If Anokata is not present in a game (or was killed) the BO will choose a Leader. They can either go for the ranking according to the role list (Anokata, Gin, Vermouth, Bourbon ...) or they vote for their own ranking. So each player PMs the GM with a ranking.

The leader ranking has nothing to do with the APTX ranking! In case there are not enough APTX, then the ranking of the listed BO roles will be used. Other.
Each mafia member must commit a successful murder before any mafia member gets a second turn to kill.
Every member can use the APTX4869 during day phase.
BO can kill BO if they so wish.
The Leader can decide to give the Black Suitcase to any member during the game. He/she can also list substitutes for the Suitcase in case the target(s) is/are killed during the day.
The mafia is allowed to and is expected to consult with each other on who to kill during the night and who to lynch during the day. You may all vote to lynch different players if you wish.

- Yumi can choose a player just once. So he can't choose: AkonylxKleene AND AkonylxCallid. He needs to change it into AkonylxKleene and ConiaxCallid for example.
- There can be all pairings that the player chose or just 1 pair or 2 pairs etc. Yumi won't know which pairs really became lovers and which didn't.
- There exists a random factor that none of the pairings chosen by Yumi will actually work out, even if Yumi has chosen valid pairings.
* Friendship
- Roles with that action: Sonoko
- Sonoko chooses a list of players she wants to befriend. (GM tells how many players to chose)
- Sonoko will befriend randomly one of these players. They will become friends and will know the identity of each other.
- Roles she can't befriend: DB's, Lovers and BO members except Vermouth.
- If she befriends Vermouth, she will befriend the disguised role and will not know that it's Vermouth. Sonoko will stay as a Townsperson and will not join the BO.
- If Sonoko befriends 1412, she will also know the disguised role and not that he’s 1412 disguised as someone. 1412 has the freedom to tell Sonoko that he's 1412 or not.
- When Sonoko's friend dies because he/she was killed by the BO, she will learn the attacker’s identity. She will not learn the identity when her friend was sniped or killed with the APTX.
- Sonokos ability > Yumis ability so Friendship > Lovers
During the prep phase, if Sonoko chooses her friend and Yumi happens to choose the same people as Lovers, then Sonoko’s ability comes first. So the players that got chosen as Best friends and Lovers, will become best friends and not lovers.
* Traveling

- They can choose if they want to travel during the preparation phase by sending a PM to the GM.
- If they do they will be on the plane during Night 1, so they can't use their action during that night. They will arrive during Day 1 and can participate in voting or use their Day-ability (Makoto).

- The player can Investigate a certain number of actions "#". He can only Investigate the actions that are happening in the same night he's Investigating. He may not Investigate actions from previous nights, or Day actions.
- He may investigate if someone is disguised.
- Can be discombobulated. Then the Player won't get any results but a "failed action" as a PM
- If a discombobulated action is investigated, then the action will be shown as "false", because the action wasn't done in the end.
- Healing/First Aid, Investigate/Special Investigate are considered the same actions.
Whether you investigate "pofa Heals xpon" or "pofa uses First Aid on xpon" doesn't matter. You won't know if it's Araide or Okiya in the end. You also won't be able to tell apart James or a Detective/police/Gin etc. (Special Investigate/Investigate)
- Black Suitcase actions appear as if they were legitimate actions.
- Example: conia(Vermouth) is disguised as Ran. Akonyl slanders conia. conia kills Ctu. pofa(Araide) heals xpon. Kleene Onigiri (James) investigated Schillok.

because at the time of the arrest, the crime hasn't happened. Imo, you should only be able to arrest on actions that have been done successfully, not actions that are happening in the same phase as you're performing the arrest. But, if there's already rules that go with this, *shrug*

"sometimes" is bad, imo. If you make it happen 100% if a certain criteria is met, then I'm cool with that.

imo, the way people are killed should go to the BO, and in case of lynchings maybe they can say how they react to bein lynched or somesuch, but short of someone committing suicide due to a lover, I don't think it should really be up to the person that much.
And to other stuff:

And discombobulate just sounds silly, but I'm not complaining.
And what do you mean by the lovers can be "disguised as"? Unless you changed the way lover pairs worked, someone in a disguise could be a lover anyway.
The APTX confiscation rule just seems largely unnecessary to me.
I don't like the idea of pairings failing randomly. Random = bad imo.

What happens if Agasa gives the bowtie to a traveling Hakuba or Makoto? I guess they can't use it, but will Agasa know his action failed?
EDIT: Also, it says Kazuha can give a player a protection charm once per game. Does this mean that she can only give one charm per game (it's a once-a-game action), or that she can only give the charm to any one player once per game, and has to choose someone else the next night?
