Re: Mafia - Round 10 (Day 2)
Lengthy explanation time:
I lied about the gun thing.
You understand. I was trying not to get APTXed. I figured I could throw the B.O. off if I named an item I wouldn't have had, in addition to the item they actually stole. I was in contact with Kleene so I was able to coordinate this lie with her (and not have her deny it). Although I completely forgot now that Eri may be in the game, and I may get APTXed if I get out. Eri, dear, please wait until the B.O. has likely used up all their APTX before busting me out of here.
I probably got caught by sheer luck.
Some police person out there probably was like "Hey XZY, I'll prove to you that I'm a police by trying to arrest someone tonight! You can even investigate if I actually did the arrest!" and, since they were in contact with the person I tricked on Night 1, they said, "I don't like Abs. Probably Vodka again, like last time. I ARREST ABS!"
Or it was the B.O.
I was in contact with xpon, and he seemed to already know my role. Looking back, I suppose it isn't entirely impossible that xpon passed the information to his B.O. lover and the B.O. used the information to their advantage with a disguised police player. xpon mentioned that there was a Megure in the game, but I don't know if he was saying that in order to make me believe a disguised B.O. member was who they said they were, if they decided to approach me.
That's all I got right now.
Oh, and the Rhenandriel clue in Takagi's hand translates to "Silver."

Silver,huh?
Gin and Vodka appeared in the episode videotape. My first thought was: Neither of them are in game. But this clue may change things...
Holmes caught nomemory with interrogation, but now the slandered possibility is bigger
Rhenandriel said he can investigate, and "backstabbed" xpon, who, after a cross-investigation proved him he was a townie. The Gin role starts to fit in there, but I've learned to shut up when I don't have evidence, so

How would lying about the item that got stolen throw the BO off, though? If they didn't get a gun from you, wouldn't it be obvious to them that you were lying?Abs. wrote: Lengthy explanation time:

The post said that you were arrested during a house search, didn't it? So there must be a Megure in the game. And I doubt he would take the risk of conducting a house search just to prove he was police...a simple arrest would be easier, and he wouldn't lose his house search ability if he was wrong.Abs. wrote:

xpon knew your role? Then this is possible, if there is a Vermouth disguised as Megure.Or it was the B.O.

Well, here's something else. I got tricked/intimidated last night. So if Abs. really did get put in jail because whoever did the house search found out he was tricking/intimidating, then that means both Eisuke and Vodka are in the game. I don't know whether or not Abs. is lying, but I will say that the BO had a fairly good reason to intimidate me last night--I sort of expected it, in fact--so it is possible that he's telling the truth.
But since there's no way to be sure, I guess just sit tight, Abs.

Gin is not the only role in the game associated with "silver," especially since the word was written in katakana.conia wrote: Silver, huh?

Well, I know nothing about katakana or any other Japanese righting style. Is it really a difference?pofa wrote:Gin is not the only role in the game associated with "silver," especially since the word was written in katakana.conia wrote: Silver, huh?

*writing, sorry :V
Anyway someone could explain this better than I can, but katakana is mainly used for words that don't come from the Japanese culture. This includes, but isn't limited to: food, clothing, names, etc. Pretty much everything else is written in hiragana or "shortened" into kanji.

Re: Mafia - Round 10 Psycho Edition (Day 2)
I actually didn't really understand that either. To my knowledge a house search was simply a house search (House search Abs. (no crime indicated)), and arresting was a separate action (Arrest Abs. for tricking ABC on Night 123). Maybe I got both house searched and arrested? Re: Mafia - Round 10 Psycho Edition (Day 2)
If I had to guess, this has to do with the whole "auto-arresting" thing that was briefly discussed in the roles thread, where if an investigator investigates a criminal action and it turns up as "true", the culprit is automatically arrested. So I guess because something incriminating was found in your house (like the fact that you tricked someone), you were automatically arrested for it.Abs. wrote:I actually didn't really understand that either. Re: Mafia - Round 10 Psycho Edition (Day 2)
Katakana is usually used to spell foreign words. I'm on shaky ground, because I'm just learning Japanese, and I may be wrong--Ctu may not have wanted to give us the kanji that's pronounced "gin" because it was too obvious a hint. But since we didn't get the Japanese kanji for "silver," but instead a phonetic spelling of the English word "silver," it makes me think it's referring to one of the roles that is associated in the show with the English word "silver" and not to Gin.conia wrote:Well, I know nothing about katakana or any other Japanese righting style. Re: Mafia - Round 10 Psycho Edition (Day 2)
I checked with the rules but it's unclear: If, during a house search, it's discovered that a crime was committed, is that person whose house is being searched automatically arrested? Or does Megure (or another officer) have to arrest him/her during the next phase?
