Humans share 98% of their genes with chimpanzees, 95% with pigs, and 25% with bananas.

When Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was being filmed, nobody thought it was going to be popular; the British film crew knocked off for tea breaks at random intervals and Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford often complained to each other that they were wasting their time. When Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back was being filmed, Star Wars was already so popular that the crew filming it had to undergo an elaborate ruse where they pretended that they were filming a different film, a horror called Blue Harvest/George Lucas had hats, shirts and even stationary saying Blue Harvest to keep the fans from finding them out.

There is a birth hospital located in Taiwan which is Hello Kitty themed to make the women feel comfortable. The nurse's uniforms are even Hello Kitty themed.

I would feel uncomfortable there.

lolwut, i wonder if there's some scientific explanation for that :P

The I-Pod is now probably the most popular mp3/4 there is. But it nearly became a failed product when it was first released, but was saved because of its white earphones. Back when it was first released, other mp3 players like sony had black/grey or dull coloured earphones but when people saw these unique white earphones that the rich and cool kids were using, the I-Pod became something a lot of people wanted.

A Wailord can breed with a Skitty, Diglett, and Rattata.

The most money ever paid for a cow in an auction was $1.3 million.

When snakes are born with two heads, they fight each other for food.

The term "to get fired" came from when clans wanted to get rid of unwanted people by burning their houses down instead of killing them.

My mom and my aunts lived next to James Cantwell. (If you don't know who he is, look him up on the Internet) but back then he was simply known as 'Jimmy' and my mom and aunt actually went to his house a few times.

The Playstation was originally developed by Nintendo in the early nineties, but they ending up dropping the project in favour of the SNES, since cartridges held more data at the time. A hardware company they'd been working with, Sony, decided to pick up the project on their own.

Though the ancient Egyptians, in their mummification rituals, would perfectly preserve every other part of the body, believing them to be vital to the dead person's ability to reach the afterlife, they would chop up and throw away the brain, believing it to be useless. They thought the heart did the thinking.

Random fact: It's impossible to mumify someone that's alive, well I guees it's possible to start with a living person but the mumyfying process is sure to kill them. As apposed to some crappy movie I've seen, can't remeber the name, were they "mumifed" the guy alive. Mumyfy in this case being wrapped in bandages and left to die in a coffin.

While today birthday candles represent one's age, back in ancient times birthday candles were originally lit to ward off evil spirits for the next year.

If the population of China walked past you, in single file, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction. This is why I'm kinda proud to be Chinese. ;D

No word in the English language rhymes with month, silver, or purple. (SO THAT'S WHY I CAN'T WRITE A POEM D:)

If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle.  If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds in battle.  If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes. (Oooh... awesome)

In Scotland a new game was invented.  It was entitled Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden… and so the word GOLF entered the English language. ;D

It's not impossible. I've seen someone disprove it. In a magazine.
