So James Rye claimed to be a detective and you investigated his interrogate? Or are you using that as an example? I'm asking because I've gotten PMs from two other people (not James Rye) claiming to be detectives, and there probably wouldn't be three in one game. So someone's pants may be on fire.

Let's say, for example, I investigate if James Rye interrogated someone who he previously told me the name. My result comes true, which means he can interrogate, and the only BO that can interrogate is Vermouth disguises as a detective. What are the probabilities of that happening?
How can you say this after giving me Kid/Shinichi two rounds ago?? :'( Did you use one of your other investigations to check if he was disguised?
James Rye, what do you think about this?

I said FOR EXAMPLE. I also previously said I wouldn't reveal the results of my investigations.
About too much investigators: Since we are like 12 townies, 3 investigations may not be too weird.
About Kid/Shinichi: You were lucky
About investigating disguise: Emmm... no, I guess that would have been a good idea, sorry
And James Rye is probably asleep since it's 5:48 AM in Germany.
Well, I didn't mean "investigator," as I'm sure there are several of those. I meant, specifically, "detective." As in, Shinichi/Heiji/Kogoro/Hakuba. These are the only ones who can interrogate, and there probably wouldn't be three out of the four in one game.
I understand that you don't want to reveal the results of your investigation, but you started this. Since you're using the argument that "James Rye can interrogate, therefore he's probably not BO" to keep us from lynching him, it's probably important whether you actually investigated that or not.

how do you know there are three detectives w/ interrogate?

Again, interrogation was just an example, but I get your point
And I can't reveal my investigations since it would be bad for James Rye if he plan to keep his identity a secret. If he agrees to reveal his ability, then I'll post my results.

She said she PM two people and both told her they were detectives, am I right pofa?
Yep. The reason I'm asking conia if he really, really proved James Rye can interrogate (and is therefore a detective) is that I've gotten PMs from two players also claiming to be detectives, and I think it's unlikely that everyone is telling the truth. If conia says "no, I was just using it as an example" I'll back off, since two detectives in one game is plausible. (But then I'll ask for another reason why conia doesn't suspect James Rye.)
But if he sticks to his guns (or if James Rye claims detectivehood) I'm going to go after those other two players.
It's not like I couldn't be wrong. Maybe Kleene has a detective fetish and has put three or all four of them in here somewhere. I just think it's unlikely. ;D

How do we know you're not BO?
How can we trust those two that PM'ed you?

conia's reasoning for hiding the specifics of his investigations of james rye is pretty reasonable to me and it's not that suspicious. For how he keeps saying "interrogating was just an example", and his refusal to give more information, I'd wager he's a singleton role, where knowing the ability reveals the identity (such as healing, first aid, protecting during the first night, special investigation, and probably others)

You don't know any of that. Nobody does. I don't know you're not BO, either. I don't trust the people who PM'd me, that's why I was asking.

Since he said it was just an example twice, it probably was. I just thought I'd found some nice BO suspects for a minute there.
Also, you can't distinguish between healing, protecting, and first-aid with investigations anymore, and I'm not sure how you'd prove Special Investigation with an investigation. But I get your point.

Oh, yeah. I forgot conia claimed to be a detective at first. I was focused on his "James Rye is a detective" example. Damn this thread and its distracting arguments!
But if conia was using "detective" to mean the same thing as "investigator" like he did in his post to me, it could be he's a more generic investigator like a policeman, and just used that term by mistake.
Or he (or one of my PM partners) is lying. *picks pitchfork back up hopefully* Or he's the BFF/lover of one of my PM partners. *puts it back down sadly*
Well, things ought to be clearer after this lynching...who are we lynching again? Abs.? -_-;
