Re: Mafia - Round 9 (Day 1)
God damn it! We lost one.
So from the hole clues thing we deduced that there's a Gin player in the game, although I can't really decode what the whole fresh apple (as opposed to rotten apple) means.
Let's avenge Schillok, people!

good enough for me, I'll come after you next if you're wrong.conia wrote: Listen to me people: I'm a detective, which means I can investigate, and I used my investigations to prove James Rye and he is indeed a townie (Of course, I won't reveal my results).
And not only that, James Rye started to move us, the town, which his reasoning. He's a newbie here, and we all know what happens to the guy that tries to get something on Day 1: The BO blames him/her of being suspicious and finally gets lynched. So, let's stop this: Abs. reacted to James Rye reasoning and tried to put suspicion on him. As I've said earlier, James Rye is innocent. Remember last Round: xpon had Det.Tommy who proved his innocence, yet nobody believed him and got lynched. We can't let that happen again!
So, we have to lynch Abs.!

Careful, conia. It doth sound like you're trying to protect a fellow B.O. Unless someone would care to enlighten me as to how one could possibly be sure about the results of their investigation after the first night? Hmm?
Also: Too many suspicious people!
Who to lynch first ???

Highly suspicious that you would tell the world you're a detective.conia wrote: Listen to me people: I'm a detective, which means I can investigate, and I used my investigations to prove James Rye and he is indeed a townie (Of course, I won't reveal my results).

Re: Mafia - Round 9 (Day 1)
the thing is though, everyone else has just been saying "lole you're so suspicious" under really flimsy pretenses. Conia has basically conceretely said "Abs is bad, lynch him". So, if we lynch you, and you're a good guy, then we can be more suspicious of conia and take care of him appropriately. But if we lynch someone like, say, xpon, everyone will just shrug it off as a random loss and we're overall no closer to people who are actually suspicious.Abs. wrote: Careful, conia. Re: Mafia - Round 9 (Day 1)
Dude. I TOLD you why I thought James Rye was suspicious - it was because he seemed too trusting of the clues. As if he wanted us to believe that they were real clues. As we know, the clues could have come from the B.O. themselves.
But care to explain how a non-B.O. could be sure of another player's town/B.O. status after only the first night? Hmm?Akonyl wrote:not really, it's not like he can be aptx'd easily with that knowledge.Detective Tommy wrote:Highly suspicious that you would tell the world you're a detective.

I've already told I used my investigation to prove him. I needed to risk on Night 1 since the BO can't use the suitcase yet.Abs. wrote: Dude. I'm not gonna point out every grammar mistake you made in this post (I mean "doth"? Nobody has used that word since 1682!). Instead, I'm just gonna say that I'm with Conia in this one. It does make sense for him to have investigated J.R. and having received a townie result (unless they're both BO members, it makes no sense for him to lie about that). And you seem very eager to put J.R. down. It seems to me like a very reasonable explanation. Be ready for my lynching vote.Abs. wrote: Careful, conia. Re: Mafia - Round 9 (Day 1)
One only receives a "townie result" if one interrogates someone. With no idea whether Gin, Vermouth, and/or Anokata in the game, how can one be sure of that result? The only way I can think of, that someone is sure of another person being a townie is a) lovers or b) DB. If a) lovers, then the lovers are out to get us anyway so we should kill them off. If b) DB, then conia is still lying since DB are not detectives.... waaaait a minute.... I suppose they do call themselves Detective Boys.... crap.

well he isn't a DB either, because DBs can't do any investigating or anything during the nights, so :V

No, but they would know right off the bat that the other(s) is/are a townie. conia could have lied/not told the complete truth about the "investigate" part... Re: Mafia - Round 9 (Day 1)
@Conia, you investigated James Rye night 1? And got a non-BO?
I just want to make sure I didn't misread. I'm thinking about following you.
@Sebolains, you probably shouldn't follow people too early on. Just incase.
@Whoever Said James Rye believed the tape too much, Just because he believes in the tape doesn't mean he's BO or trying to make the tape believable. Maybe he doesn't know how the tape works (I don't either). Personally, I thought the tape is made by the GM and 100% true. But it seems like that isn't the case...
Anyways,
Thank god I get to come home 3 hours early tomorrow from school.
Which gives me a good 5-6 hours to decide on who to follow.

Let's say, for example, I investigate if James Rye interrogated someone who he previously told me the name. My result comes true, which means he can interrogate, and the only BO that can interrogate is Vermouth disguises as a detective. What are the probabilities of that happening?

Interrogations give you a BO or non-NO result.
So did you investigate or interrogate him?
You said you knew he is non-BO.
