Mafia - Round 9 (Town wins!)

Night 1

Various people in Beika City are rushing to get home as fast as they can. Everyone seems to be nervous and afraid of something. Ravens are cawing and heavy rain is pouring on those scared people. Moving trees look like scary shadows from afar and the atmosphere in the town is dark and gloomy. Odd incidents are happening in Beika City and the townspeople can feel a heavy pressure on them. Ugly rumors are spreading fast and even the police seems to be more wary than ever. Those strange incidents, will there be more of them? Had the town just some bad luck or is there some evil lurking in the city already?

So, since we have no xpon this time to stir up the game right at the beginning: Does anyone have an idea how to start the game this time?

The easiest way, as always, is to investigate nightactions I guess. I can't join though since I don't have one of those.

fun fact about stealing, after looking at the roles list:

Items stealable from the BO: gun, car-keys, headgear, alcohol, panties,glasses
Items stealable from the town: gun, car-keys, headgear, panties, alcohol, glasses, school book

so the only item that doesn't appear in the BO loot list is the school book. Of the roles that can have the school book, only Shinichi, Heiji, Ran, Eisuke and Kazuha can be disguised as.

So, if Kid was to steal a school book from anyone, he would automatically know that that person is a townie, except for the chance that Vermouth got one of those 5 roles, and with 18 possible disguise roles, that's a pretty low chance.

The only problem of course, is Kid letting people know he got a school book without getting arrested.

The other problem is that even among the characters that have school-books, many of them have other items as well that can be stolen (panties  , headgear, alcohol)
And of course there is only one KID - at maximum, maybe there is no KID in the game at all.

Talking about changes in the roles...
Remember, this is the only night without the Black Suitcase that the BO will use starting with the next day to confuse us. So tonight would be the best chance to really prove our roles with less chances to get tricked by the BO...

true, but there's still shinichi/hakuba/male DBs that only carry school books.

And there just being one Kid doesn't matter much, one amazing character can win the game (see: Eisuke in game 1).

it's good for the BO I suppose, but it's a lot better for the town imo.

you can post your reasoning to an extent, moreso if you're one of the detectives/police/fbi/dbs, because then there's several roles you could be and they'd have to find out which one you are.
