Nice list. I'll have to cross-reference it with my own collection.

In any case, I have a question. What is the criterion used to determine whether an episode has "lower quality subs"? I understand the XCHKS and ANFS episodes but I thought ep. 480 and 264-265 by E-SP and Yami respectively had relatively good and understandable subs. From what I could remember the subs had no mistakes, misspellings, grammatical errors or otherwise, and the timing was spot on.

Granted, I watched them for enjoyment and not specifically to look for blunders nor do I understand Japanese so there may have been a gross mistranslation somewhere.

Just wondering.

I got those Episodes from DCTP. So I know they will be done. By the way and as I said in a different post, the 100's have 21 and there at least 5 according Xoph's list that are 'Poorly' done. After the current is finished, I might make a new list with them. It was funny as some are NEG and a few ANFS were not 'Poor".

I stopped playing the game every time I heard his music just to listen to it. It was like something from Advance Wars, which is awesome.

I'll jump in and clarify something.

The XCHKS and "CHKS" (as they've been called) 'subs' are entirely different. The XCHKS ones are logistically sound and at least borderline consistent, even if they are still Hong Kong DVD subs. The CHKS ones are pure machine translations--they are nonsensical and, as far as I'm concerned, anyone watching them is just ruining the case for themselves while an actual translation is in the works.

The XCHKS ones are obviously not actual fansubs, but they aren't purely machine translated, and that's why they are infinitely better. The "CHKS" ones are so terrible that, for the longest time, no one even bothered ripping them simply because they really are that bad. I highly advise against wasting time on them and spoiling otherwise worthwhile episodes watching what is essentially Japanese to Rough Chinese to Machine English.

JD, I always wondered what are the best FANSUBS fo Detective Conan other than DCTP, Kienai, AFZ etc... not the main fansubs that we see i mean like the old episodes but not like A conan i know of them im just confused about which ones to watch cuz i went to queen's list and he has some Subgroups i never heard of liek DCF they're horrible i just want to know the best fansubs out there thnx.
