I'm not that emotional, but I wondered why my eyes got somewhat wet when Going Merry died (One Piece)

Re: Anime That Brought Tears
I'm emotional and emphatic so i feel whatever the character feels so I cry alot in movies/anime/series. The most recent i can remember that I cried on anime is DC Desperate Revival: The Promised Place. My heart felt broken as Ran was, for a guy to leave yet again and no better explanation but to solve another case and more than Ran's pain i cried cause i feel Shinichi's pain too since he didn't want to do that intentionally and for him to see how much in pain Ran, the person he loves the most, was because of him... he must be in more pain than Ran is...

I don't usually cry, too. But I had to squelch a tear in Corboy Bebop when Ed left.
Man greatest music ever, not so much in the last episode though.

I don't know if anyone is watching Macross Frontier right now, but episode 20 (the one from last week) was awesome and sad, it brought tears to many of the people of the MacrossWorld

Re: Anime That Brought Tears
good one that'll make you burst out into tears is probably kanon 2006. unless you dont have a heart, so if this doesnt bring tears you should go make sure you still got a heart beat
.. well least by the final episode anyway.

Re: Anime That Brought Tears
The saddest Anime I ever watched has got to be Fruits Basket. I thought the manga was so depressing also but still a really good story.
"Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again."
"When Adam's flesh and Adam's bone
Sits at Cair Paravael in throne,
The evil time will be over and done."

When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again."

The evil time will be over and done."

Re: Anime That Brought Tears
I have cried a whole lot of times when reading books and watching tv. I'm a really emphatic person, and for me it's easy to imagine what the characters are feeling. Here are some times when I've cried when watching anime:
- The FMA episode with the funeral, which a lot of people have mentioned so far. I also cried when reading about the character's (don't want to spoil anyone so I won't mention the name) death in the manga.
- In many episodes of Eureka seveN, especially in the end of the series. It's a really awesome series, you all have to try it! (Some of the episodes are so funny that I cried of laughter!
)
- In some parts of Naruto I've been nearly crying
- In many parts of Detective Conan
- In some parts of Pokemon, though that was about a five or six years ago

Re: Anime That Brought Tears
definitely Clannad. I cried, sniffed is the better choice of word, alot. The scenes especially made me cry were:
1) from no one in school remembered Fuko, a hospitalised student who went unconscious, to her sister's wedding
2) Akio explained to Tomoya about Nagisa's illness
3) Nagisa suddenly broke down on the stage just as the performance started to where everyone encouraged her

Re: Anime That Brought Tears
child's toy (kodomo no omocha, aka kodocha) is another anime that made me cry... only for some certain episodes and scenes though, like
1) the scene where sana revealed to be an adopted child
2) the scene where sana's father died and her depression (i cried the most in that 2 episodes)
3) the scene where the misunderstanding began between sana and hayama (it's all tabloids' fault)...
