I can't blame him for not seeing the notice, really. Looking in the trashbin is't exactly the first thing I do in the morning, either.

I can just imagine really really well what's gonna happen next:

Ceremony will have already started, everyone's acting all happy, and when Vongola 9th is ready to give to Tsuna whatever he's supposed to give, the Shimon family interrupts everything with a bang and starts fighting Tsuna and his guardians, Tsuna doesn't understand, Enma explains that Tsuna was just like all the other mafia because he didn't come (and worse, he even thinks that Tsuna threw the paper away without even reading it because one of the Shimon will have entered Tsuna's room to check up on it), and Tsuna tries to explain that he didn't see the note, but of course Enma and the others from Shimon won't believe him.

(...And then I've imagined more crap after that, but that's a different story I could almost put up as a fanfiction.)
