L VS Shinichi/Conan

mmm... i'm the one who first voted.... my bet is shinichi!! L is cool 8) and intelligent but not like kudo... i would rather have a stubborn and tone deaf detective than a weird looking and silent one... about cases... mmm.... well L has an assisstant.. kudo has no..there's even a case kudo solved without being at the crime scene... by just picture... the "W code mystery"....he can solve the case both when he's at the crime scene, and without even being at the crime scene. There's a lot of other example he's solving a case without being at the crime scene...I never get a chance to see L investigate the crime scene by himself in Death Note (well he's investigating about Death Note, of course he can't show his face). I assumed he'll used his assistant like Watari to be at the crime scene. And he's been showed using a thief, Wendy and a con artist, Aber to help him investigating the Yotsuba Kira case..... Kudo, he usually works alone and he doesn't need help from anyone (except when he need one, like Heiji) because he can't afford to let Ran noticed how clever he is (or how he really looks a lot like Shinichi). Even in his kid body, he always attempt dangerous move like chasing and trying to capture a criminal that is twice his size and such.......  besides Kudo is more handsome!!...

lol Umm actually I've never read Death Note before, but I just watched the live action movies 1 & 2 and L: Change The World ^^ The actors are cool :p hehehe

Well, to answer the question, I think L's level of intelligence might be more....coz he's elder (O.O!)
In solving cases, L has been involved with people from around the world and not only in Japan.
So yeah, he might be more experienced in that case.

As for Shinichi, he's a normal school boy (unlike L who is super weird but cute).
Shinichi isn't really exagerately clever, which is kinda true for Gosho sensei's story. Whereas in Death Note, you see a lot of supernatural things (say, the shinigami )

Gosho-sensei based his story on a more natural sense (with so many "evidences" from Science), so perhaps Shinichi might be a better detective that way ^^" (though I voted for L ;p)

Because for me Shinichi is a "real" detective. He uses the hints and clues to find out the murderer.
L is more like a tactician/strategist than a detective. He also uses hints/clues to find out who Kira is. But he mostly uses traps and mind tricks to lure kira out.
Although Shinichi/Conan uses some mind tricks and traps too especially to capture/find the BO, he still relies more on facts/clues.

I'd allow this, as it'd effectively make him impervious to the anesthetic.

If Conan doesn't win in a non DC forum, it's not because most people think L is better, it's only because Death Note is more popular than Detective Conan and most people would know L but not recognize Conan. And we all know that popularity has nothing to do with quality.
