"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."
Countdown to Heaven. I have to admit these are my two least favorite movies I've seen. However, I'll take self-parody Haibara and a plot that can't focus on anything for long in a movie that's actually entertaining over a good case that was in a boring movie.
Countdown to Heaven. The b-plot murders made me happy because they were SUCH AN EPIC OVERREACTION. Plus...flying car.
Spoiler:
They're putting up a new Wal-Mart near my house and it's obstructing my view of the Blockbuster Video on the other side. I've always greatly admired that Blockbuster. When I was a child I used to gaze at it for hours, marveling at its beauty. In fact, I bought my current house for its perfect view of that Blockbuster so that I could always share in its wisdom and strength. And now this. Anyway, I plan to take appropriate action as soon as I can get myself invited to the grand opening party.
Superman = Captain America > Aquaman = Hal Jordan > Wonder Woman > Barry Allen > Thor > Martian Manhunter > The Hulk > Wasp > Hawkeye > [power gap] > Iron Man = Batman > [power gap] > Hank Pym
