Do we really need one? We still can play without one ;). Perhaps the game will be even merrier without GM since he won't be disturbing us.

I'm probably going to regret this, but put me in. My play style for these is such that I'll probably end up dead pretty early anyway.

... I feel like I'm gonna regret this, but since it doesn't seem like the GM needs to actually do much more than counting votes and replying to at most four actions... I'll volunteer to be the GM if you need one. :x

An addendum to the ruleset to clarify everything and add a little extra to the end-game:

— Voting takes place before kills are taken into account. If the Spy's kill targets someone who is arrested, the Spy's kill will simply "fail" for that phase. If the Spy is arrested, any kill actions they sent in for that phase will be nullified and not take place.

— All votes that are cast are counted for a given phase.

Civilian lists will contain 9 players in this round.

— Once the game shifts to Lynch Voting upon the start of the Spy escape, there are special rules to keep in mind. As always, the Spy players will begin their two phase escape once both Detective players are eliminated from the game. For Escape Phase 1, all remaining players will have one vote to cast and whichever player receives the most votes will be arrested. For Escape Phase 2, if only one Spy player remains, the same procedure applies with all remaining players having one vote and whichever player receives the most votes will be arrested. However: If both Spy players remain, all remaining players will have two votes to cast. Thus, the two players that receive the most votes will both be arrested at the end of the phase in this case.

[Until the game begins, this is all up for discussion, so please share any concerns and opinions you may have now rather than later!]

GREETINGS, CITIZENS!

I'm going to be your humble Mayor throughout the course of these trying times. Before we get started, we need to determine a couple of things; namely, when to start! I was considering starting the game's Prep Phase on Saturday, November 15, provided there aren't any serious objections or rule concerns. (If there are any objections or concerns, please feel free to speak out.) As far as the time is concerned, I'd like some of your input. This is a link for everyone to choose a good phase change time (in Eastern Standard Time, please! Use this to convert the time if you need to) for everyone.

Basically all of those times will be fine'ish for my part, so let us see what others have to say.

I think I have read somewhere between the lines (though I might be wrong) that the game can be win b y the spies only if both of them are alive. If either spy is killed, the spies cannot win the game. What then they can do? Just lose the game?

There are basically 3 results that can come out of this round:

1) The Civilians & Detectives win (Both Spies are arrested)

2) Both Spies win (Both Detectives are killed/arrested and then both Spies survive the two escape phases)

3) One of the two Spies wins, one of them loses (Both Detectives are killed/arrested and one of the two spies is arrested while the other one escapes successfully)

In other words, one Spy can definitely win by themselves. What happens to the other Spy doesn't affect the win status of the one that survives because the two Spies are not direct allies.
