I agree. I think it's got something to do with Ai. She's not my favorite character, but she certainly is a common favorite. I have no problem with people that like her, I just don't happen to agree with their assessment of her awesomeness. I find Akai muuuuuch more awesome, and he hasn't made it into a movie yet, sadly.

5 is overrated, but I don't think 1 quite matches it. The Ai stuff wasn't particularly amazing and it even got grating at points, but I like it when the movies try to delve a bit deeper into the personalities of the main characters. It was also nice having an actual mystery to solve, even if it got turned into sideshow.

Well that probably has a lot to do with him being 'dead'.
