The topic for the Character Contest.
If you have any wishes what characters to put in next, just post it

If you have any critics, post here too.
Also, since there are ~80 characters (including some movie ones, like Irish or some rare but still somehow important ones, like Misa Kinoshita etc.) So if I want all characters to compete against all, I need to post 3 polls a day, which is a lot... and could annoy people.
So either I go for 3 polls a day or I reduce the competition to some specific character constellation and just post the interesting constellations as a poll (since Shinichi vs Eisuke is pretty obvious for example). Then I reduce it to 1 per day or 3 per week etc.
But if I don't go all vs. all, then there can't be a "statistic" or a "character ranking" (which is interesting for the minor roles imo)

I did it 2 weeks for now because a lot of people will go traveling now D:

And actually, if I want to do every character, then I'll need 15+ years to finish if I post 1 poll every day ;p

the best way to make a "fair" polling that doesn't consume the boards imo would be to just make a huge poll with as many as possible, and let people vote for as many as they want. Then, cut it into the top 2/3s or 1/2 of the winners in that poll and repeat.

But, then it doesn't have the same 1v1 type of feel, so *shrug*

Maybe Heiji Vs. Hakuba instead of Shinichi so he can win the Poll, Takagi Vs. Shiratori, Sato Vs. Yumi, Megure Vs. Chiba, Aoko Vs Akako, Ran Vs Sonoko ....

The best way is to run a Condorcet style ranked preference vote. Kinda like this thread(link). You'd implicitly get all the pairwise match-ups. (You can use this website(link) to tally the votes and show the results of all pairwise match-ups.)

I kinda wanna see Nakamori vs. Megure! ...or maybe Nakamori vs. Shiratori?
