I believe that the leader of the massive crime organization is none other than Ai's father. Gosho said In a interview that "Ai would be surprised about who the leader is", this shows It is someone she knows personally and Conan or anyone else knows little or nothing about because if they did he would have said "every one will be surprised" or "they will be surprised" but he chose to specifically mention Ai. If it was her Dad than he could have faked His death to become the new leader or not to seem like the leader. Why would a dead person be the leader? He could have planned on letting Ai and her sister leave the org like they promised but Gin killed Ai's sister. After that he could of had them lock Ai up so he could talk to her in secret himself but she got away, In a episode It said she was supposed to be killed in a few weeks, why not just kill her right away like the org normally does? He wouldn't say not to kill her because It could lead to someone finding out he was the boss. Now another major question, Is this the kind of twist Gosho would use? Heck yah it is Gosho's all for the most unlikely situations.

I hope not, I'm getting kind of tired of the evil father bit. It's not a bad idea, but I'd prefer her dad and mom to be dead and the BO boss to be someone who is less cliche.

But like xCommando said, Gosho refers to Ai rather than to Conan etc. to be surprised.

Now, my crazy theory is that Akemi is the boss, meaning she's not dead.

Gin killing her and just leaving her there while being convinced that the key they found was the one.. that was just too easy in my opinion. Maybe Akemi didn't die.. I mean, did Conan really check her death? Or maybe that girl was really dead, but she wasn't Akemi to start with: she was someone else who looks like her (or disguised)? Maybe the whole Akemi-death-scene was just an act on Conan? lol I have some crazy thought but I know non of them will be true.

The problem with the BO boss is that whoever it is, it is almost guaranteed to be a dissappointment considering how
1. it has been built up so much (or at least logic says it is as it's the boss of the antagonist organization of a 570+ episode anime) that it's almost impossible for the reveal to live up to expectations and
2.  Considering how it's confirmed to be an already introduced character, most likely it's either an "I AM YOUR FATHER" cliche that is so cliched that the parodies of it are cliched, a character that makes no sense to be the boss no matter what reason you think of, or a minor character (AZUSA IS THE BO BOSS)

I don't think that "Ai would be surprised about who the leader is" necessarily means that Ai knows this person personally. It could also mean that it's someone she heard of (like about Korn and Chianti, but she never met them) or someone like Pisco (he knew her when she was little but she was too small to be able to remember him) or someone that is globaly known (an Actor like Vermouth or maybe even someone from her favorite soccer team! ZOMG)

Yeah but she was carried away in a body bag at the end of the episode preventing her being alive as the medics would have checked. The one about her being disguised is impossible because when she was telling Conan about the organization she would have mentioned it, why tell him about the org and not that she was disguised?

Otaku is the Japanese word for geek, pretty much.  However to English speaking peoples it normally refers to someone who likes anime... It's an insult in Japan but either English-speaking people don't realize that or they don't care.  xD
