I'm surprised to see a trailer of episode 11 as well. It's nice to hear that there's a continuation episode featuring Conan. I always dig the Detective Conan x Kaito Kid episodes.

It's been a few weeks without the ratings being posted in this thread, so here's a batch for 6-8

Episode 8's first half was decent, and they did a good job in repurposing the source material and make it work with Akako instead. The second half of the episode, though, kinda suffered the same way episode 4 suffered from the 2-heists-in-1-episode, but still I think it did better than episode 4. Loved that scene at the end with Nakamori and Aoko, though.

Episode 9 was pretty good overall, and I don't mind them making a three episodes arc out of this thing. They did a good job with the cliffhanger at the end.
It's interesting how MK possess much better potential for good drama (between characters) than DC, and also brings strong scenarios into fruition. In DC there's the lingering question whether or not Ran will come into danger with Conan being around her, while in MK, that scenario actually does occur and Aoko is targeted.
I also like the characterization for Nakamori. The dude is super loyal.

I think my tolerance for the censored blood in Conan has been destroyed by this episode. Ok so it's ok with Magic Kaitou around the same time but for Conan it would ruin teh children watching for the series where people die horribly?! hype off!

This is always odd to me regardless. I mean...I guess the kids being "horrified" by blood at first doesn't count because it's shown to be fake later?

Yeah. There was a recent case where it looks like a victim is lying in a pool of blood, but then Conan checks it and says it's actually tomato juice. THAT was left red.

Agh, this show isn't very well-planned, I think. It should be able to stand on its own, but for someone to understand what's happening in the Ryouma heist, they'd have to be familiar with the DC world. They should have had the first time that Conan and Kaito meet in the show be the same first time that they met in the DC universe, instead of skipping way forward to the present day. Otherwise, you randomly get hit with this character that's very familiar with Kaito and vice versa, that you haven't seen before and that weirdly is extremely important in the story. It's just clumsy writing.

I think I see why they did it though. Most of the people watching this show would have been babies/not born yet when the episodes of DC featuring Kaito and Conan squaring off, so they wouldn't be very familiar with them.

There's another problem. They keep putting more than one heist in an episode. That way there's two weak, rushed climaxes instead of one good one per an episode. Then, out of the blue, you have a story arc lasting a few episodes. The pacing is all over the place with this show.

Also, the animation is getting lazier and lazier. Or maybe I'm just more annoyed by it because the bad story-telling is annoying me.
